Thread | Wasting time while being substituted

Is obviously a specialty of those born in Argentina of Italian descent.
Forestieri took ages to leave the pitch today, but his timewasting wasn't quite up to Becchio standards. I remember the game when we had to Bristol Rovers to get promoted and Becchio was substituted with Leeds holding a 2-1 lead with 10 men. He not only applauded the crowd as he went off (as Forestieri did today) but went back to shake the referee's hand before he finally left the field.
Now that is proper timewasting.

How can I be so sure?
Well, our official site says the game will kick off at 3pm on Friday January 8th, but Rotherham's site shows it the following day, 3pm Saturday the 9th.
We must beat them if they turn up 24 hours too late! |

Thread | Some tougher games to come

Redders has done a great job, but I couldn't help noticing that all four games in our unbeaten run have been against teams in the bottom half of the table. We have a few sterner tests to come, such as playing three of the current top six in October. Then we'll find out how good we really are, whether under Redders or the new boss.

I hope you're right Harwich, but all Bates ever does is spend money on crappy property deals. At Chelsea he built the Chelsea Village, and they only started to pick up when Matthew Harding came forward wih his personal fortune to spend on the team. The hotel Bates built is now losing money.
Then in the late 90s Bates was on the committee to desing the new Wembley, and he wanted to build a load of other stuff round the site there as well. Thankfully the rest of the committee got fed up with him and kicked him off, so they could get on with building the stadium.
As Tim says, we'll soon see if Bates is going to spend any money on the team in the close season, but somehow I doubt it. |

So Bates reckons the Trust are discouraging potential investors who would otherwise be flocking to club with open cheque books.
Well, after the debacle of the Birmingham game I wasn't going to bother coming to Leeds on Saturday until I heard about the protest march, so I came to the game after all.
That's £20 the club wouldn't have had if it hadn't been for those 'morons'! |

After yesterday, I've decided that we might be better off if Queens Park Rangers don't get any points deducted, as we stand bugger all chance of automatic promotion anyway.
If they did get points decucted it might leave them in the play-offs instead of Norwich or Swansea, making the play-offs harder for us to win, as QPR are obviously the best team in the division. So come on FA, let them off! |

Someone told me today that we're only getting 2,000 tickets for the game at Bramall Lane. Apparently the Blunts want to give us a load more tickets, but the plod won't let them.
If this is true then it's ridiculous. This will just lead to more Leeds fans getting tickets in the home end. The Sheffield fans won't be flocking to watch their team as they're going down, so it should be quite easy to get tickets.
About time the coppers used their brains! |

The kick-off for the Sheffield United away game is now 1pm, "on police advice". Why have they only changed it three weeks before the game when it's been in the fixture list since June.
This will now cause needless inconvenience to fans who booked train tickets etc thinking it would be a 3pm game. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. |
