Good first half - flat as fukk the second.
Same old story really ; no real quality up front. Can't see anyone scoring goals regularly for us & that will be, and is, our ultimate downfall.
Good to see the tippy-tappy bollocks across the back disappear from our game though.
All in all, and despite having a new manager, the scoreline is near enough what I expected. Even if we had Pep or Klopp in charge, the squad is well below what's needed in the top flight. Good luck to Juric though. I like the fella. |

The Danish fella Kasper Hjulmand was probably my pick of a bad bunch that were linked.
Saying that, if he had any sense & didn't want a dead cert relegation on his record, it would be no surprise at all if he declined the job. Who could blame him?
Whoever Sport Republic choose, you can be 95% sure it'll be the wrong choice. Terrible owners. Kept RM for far too long... and now they're desperately scouring Europe for someone - anyone - to take the reins.

He's going to blame the players. Despite the fact they trot out to the media each week with some drivel about "We're all together & believe in the Russell Martin way & what we're doing", they clearly don't and are really just protecting their own team selection each week from fear of being dropped.
All Martin will say about the fans is how ungrateful we are after that long unbeaten run in the Championship last season - because that's all he's got in his locker.
Lucy will probably persuade/beg him to apply to appear in "I'm a celebrity - Get me out of here" next year where he can promote his ego and narcissistic personality even further. That's the only thing he should manage after Southampton - shoving a kangaroo bollock in his gob. |
