Swapping grounds not allowed unless the team drawn at home has no possibility of hosting the fixture 'for public safety reasons'. I suppose it would have to be a very low-ranked team drawn at home to a Premiership club, but I can't remember it happening for many years. Apart from anything else, Leeds will sell every available ticket and won't relish coming here for a cup match. Even the Tykes supporters will be cheering us on. Bring it on............

3rd Round Draw on 17:16 - Dec 8 with 3900 views | ColDale | There's not many ties in the draw where they can push the possible giant killing act like they can with this one. Macc v Sheff Wed? Grimsby v Huddersfield? Leeds' history might make our fixture stand out.
3rd Round Draw on 17:25 - Dec 8 with 3821 views | Brierls | I think we've got a decent chance of a televised game. As Col said, not many fixtures stand out as possible 'giant killer' ties (and boy do the Leeds fans think they're still 'giants'), so a high flying League Two club from Lancashire vs a traditional big club from Yorkshire matches the criteria. Fingers crossed.

I think Grimsby v Huddersfield might attract the cameras, especially as it is a '3 division gap' and Grimsby beat league opposition in round 2. Same with Macc. Having lashed Swindon 4-0 in Round 1, they might be seen as a better attraction for the telly. I'd rather watch Dale v Leeds though if I was a neutral.

3rd Round Draw on 18:01 - Dec 8 with 3651 views | StudiousDale | Arsenal v Spurs nailed on. Liverpool v Oldham/Mansfield is likely too then Everton v QPR Notts Forest v West Ham Kidderminster v Peterboro Rochdale v Leeds Villa v Sheff Utd All have about equal chance in my eyes.

Would be very surprised if the Liverpool game is shown live, the chances of a upset in that one are very small.

Same here, nor Villa v Sheffield United. Maybe if the ties had been drawn with the Premier League clubs away instead.

3rd Round Draw on 20:03 - Dec 8 with 3371 views | pnc4eva1 | Personally I don't think it will be televised. However it should be a sell out or near sell out crowd depending on the Leeds allocation. Either way it should mean a decent pay day for the Dale with gate receipts around £100000 for us and Leeds if it is £20 a ticket

Won't be anywhere near that sum! An 8000 crowd at an average entry fee of £15 = £120,000. Vat man takes £20,000. Stewards and Police take a chunk. FA get a small percentage too. We'll then split the remaining £90,000 or so with Leeds. Where we will gain 100% is in hospitality and match sponsorships, programme sales, shop sales etc. These could bring in an extra £10,000 if done right.

Your guesstimation is very near what the above said. Pnc4eva said £100000 split between us and Leeds, then your total comes to a £90000 split.
