Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 08:56 - Nov 3 by WarwickHunt | What the f*ck are you on about? |
Clasie, Monmouth and Shaky spot on here. Great chairman ( err - with the help of one or two others...) but doesn't know when to keep his trap shut with the press. Glad I wasn't the only one cringing. He's starting to believe the hype. Shut the f*ck up Huw, there's a good lad.

Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 08:39 - Nov 3 by exiledclaseboy | Unwise and badly timed comments no matter how much anyone wants to put their personal interpretation on what Jenkins said or claim vindication for their own views on Laudrup's tenure from Jenkins's comments. He shouldn't have said it in public. Simple. |
I agree. Why make those comments to the press? Though I agree that sometimes ML's talk of leagues within leagues and installing a winning mentality seems to be contradictory I don't think that washing any dirty linen in public is helpful - let alone on the eve of the derby.

Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 09:47 - Nov 3 with 2156 views | Herohead | Critisism because the manager is a realist!? I dont get it. I agree about the attitude, but maybe that needs to be sortet in person and not tru the press.
| I googeled cardiff+football and got "page not found" | Poll: | Laudrup out? |

Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 09:50 - Nov 3 with 2150 views | Watchman | HJ referred to staff and players they are well paid and every now and again they need to be reminded of some basics. He was asked where did he see the club next and put simply it is too win more matches at this level. We have all said on the journey up the leagues if anyone staff or player does not give 100% or does not want to be here knock on HJ door and the club will help them find a club who will take them. I hope that everyone working at the club has seen it and has taken note of it

Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 09:00 - Nov 3 by Uxbridge | I don't think Laudrup is that precious. I also don't think this is purely aimed at the manager. I think Huw's trying to shake all at the club from their comfort zone. The timing is extraordinary but it's potentially a really pivotal week. |

Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 10:07 - Nov 3 with 2102 views | ItchySphincter | Whatever the forum or the timing HJ is correct in every way. Personally, I think the timing is perfect and it's better coming from him than the manager. The players did hit the beach after the League Cup final and the're barely out of their trunks now. I hate the fact that we know we are going to give the big clubs a bye. It doesn't matter that we have lost but the way we lost to Spurs in particular is disappointing.

Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 10:24 - Nov 3 with 2070 views | VetchitBack | It's certainly aimed at Laudrup's frequent "league within a league" comments and to be honest I agree. The "containing" game we play against bigger teams delivers a direct message to the players that we are second best and even with top athletes psychology is not to be underestimated. Look at Fergie. He won the league with a squad and team which bar a few looked rather average on paper. But to him "we are Manchester United and we win!" I prefer to judge us for who we are now not circa 1995 and we are one of the best passing teams capable of beating anyone on our day. We are also one the poorest physically and aerially so I'm not blinded by bias.

Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 10:25 - Nov 3 with 2066 views | marchamjack | ML is not untouchable. ML will be gone at some point. Fact. HJ will still be here long after and he is the future of our club, not ML. I'll back HJ before ML all day long. I certainly read into that interview that we haven't got a long term future with ML, and HJ is looking beyond him to the next manager (who I'm sure he already has in mind who that is going to be). If we settle for always getting 40 points every season then it'll be impossible for our club to progress and we'll be taking a standpoint that our club has a glass ceiling we can't get beyond. Where's the ambition in that? What manager or player worth his salt wants to come to a club who's mentality is to survive and to celebrate that? I know you have to be careful to get what you wish for, but I cannot see the harm in my club having the ambition to push on and strive to get to the next level, no matter how unlikely it may seem to be. In the last decade, every time I think we've gone as far as we can, the club surprise me and move onto the next level. Who's been behind this? Not ML that's for sure. In HJ we trust.
| Oh,..Dave, what's occuring? |

Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 10:27 - Nov 3 with 2062 views | perchrockjack | Defeatist/realistic. However you look at it LAUDRUP seems to give too much respect to the "big" clubs. I m pretty much sick of him portraying us as cheeky little interlopers on the big stage. I reckon as fans we re pretty proud and I d like to see Laudrup spout about this too instead of being like a modern day Uriah Heap. Humblemyarse. Im hoping to day we show zero respect to an assof a club that is profoundly flawed and shames us as a country.

Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 10:30 - Nov 3 with 2045 views | Captain_Sham | This is quite a turnaround. i was alone in saying these things about Laudrup over the summer, and was even accused of starting a hate campaign against him. I feel it is strange that Hj has played this card now. Does he know something we dont? I actually feel compelled to sympathise with Laudrup.

Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 10:39 - Nov 3 with 2008 views | perchrockjack | some don't know what hate is about Capt. I do believe whatever the outcome of this season LAUDRUP will be off and many of his players too. Thats fine as I have faith in Jenkins to bring us in a manager to take us to the next level. HELL, we might find ourselves with more British players. Main thing is to kick on starting today with this trash of a team getting tonked

Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 10:40 - Nov 3 with 1989 views | lovejuicejack | I think that because he was such an amazing player some people forget he is still learning as a manager and he is not infallible.
Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 10:41 - Nov 3 with 1988 views | lifelong | I'm finding it difficult to believe what I'm reading in the thread. We really do need to be careful what we wish for. Some are turning on the manager who, last season, guided us to 9th in the table and a Capital Cup victory. This season we find ourselves in mid table with a great chance to push on in the league while sitting on top of our group in the Europa League. Others are complaining about playing Michu up front and other so called negative tactics employed by Laudrup. It's worth reminding people that if it wasn't for our manager we wouldn't have Michu, and a few others, to play anywhere in the starting lineup. Some of us need a huge dose of reality.

Of course your right but does that then mean he cannot put a foot wrong?
Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 10:42 - Nov 3 with 1977 views | Captain_Sham | It may well be that Huw is nursing some resentments form the fallout of last summer, and he may well be aware of Laudrups future intentions. Accepting these things, I still would have thought the morning of the Birmingham cup tie may have been a better moment for his confession.

Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 10:44 - Nov 3 with 1972 views | VetchitBack | I think some of us wish Laudrup had more confidence in himself against the big teams. It really isn't hate it's barely criticism. And of course we're probably wrong how many times have we won an El Clasico etc etc...

There is no criteria of either positive or negative and personally I d ban the use of those words on here . Its OUR club and the players manager and the employees work for US. In the past, maybe we deserve whatever we could but not now. If its not the very best the frankly they can feckoff off. They will be planning their next moves as we speak and bitch about who /what is negative or positive/ Positively 4 th St

Yes that's my main beef. Unnecessary; public; day before lego. Anyway, only one thing I care about today, and it aint beating the best teams; its about smashing a dog team that belong in a dog league.

Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 11:01 - Nov 3 with 1871 views | NOTRAC | We have had turmoil in the close season for most of the seasons that Huw has been in charge. This is in no way a criticism of Huw and his Board for each time we have come out stronger. I think we all have to accept that the next close season is going to be the most difficult as it is possible that not only our manager will leave but some of our better players with him. He has to convince those players that we are a progressive, ambitious club ,and his comments could well be as much aimed at them as at Laudrup, who he probably knows won't be here after this season anyway.

Huw Jenkins Guardian interview on 11:03 - Nov 3 with 1864 views | Joe_bradshaw | Very strange timing from Huw to say the least. Should we (God forbid) lose today it invites speculation to move from the damaged relationship between Malky and Tan to a percieved damaged relationship between ML and Huw. Should have kept this in house in my view.
