The amounts in question are peanuts when you consider our annual turnover and what these great people have done for our club over the years.
If they were some Risdale types who had just walked in to the club and were skimming off the top then fair enough but these guys a club men through and through and have invested their life in Swansea City.

We have to remain vigilant to ensure that our club remains precisely that, rather than a cash generator for specific individuals. It's entirely possible, indeed probable that nothing untoward has gone on, but we have to remain questioning. Like Uxy said, the instant we stop doing that we're no better than the Redbird Sheep.

Anyway, for the record, I'm not suggesting any impropriety with any of these transactions related to directors. We've had it confirmed on this thread that any such contracts are put out to tender, and it's that governance that would be my main concern. So long as that is happening then I'm happy we are supporting local businesses and particularly people who have worked tirelessly for the club. It's just a shame that it takes a topic like this to find such things out. | |
