PC & Internet Security (non QPR) 12:39 - Apr 9 with 833 views

Any recommendations out there as to the best packages to use? I have been using Norton and am due to renew shortly and can't say I've found it difficult or problematic to use, but I'm no PC expert, and I'm sure there are probably better (possibly free - AVG?) packages out there.

Well an IT nerd I used to employ always said kaspersky so I used that ever since. Apparently it doesn't use much memory running in the background? Never had a problem and I only pay £40pa for 3 licences. I was told to say clear of the free ones?

I use microsoft security essentials and do the odd malwarebytes scan and that seems to keep my lappy ok. (both free versions)

Microsoft Security Essentials. As mentioned it's free.

If you want to give it a try you need to disable Norton while using it as PCs don't work well with different anti-virus systems running concurrently.
