He (Adam) was present, albeit online, at the last AGM and dealt with financial matters in a way that showed he was on top of the detail and, I guess, the move to Xero accounting software.

Like Mr Willoughby at the Fans Forum, impressive. New bods, who know what they are doing.

When the EGM is held re: articles of association, it'll be interesting to see how many directors said articles require for our board to be quorate. Who we need, who we don't and how the majority shareholder decides what is best.

All good points

As you say, the accounting lead (as would be expected with the Ogdens) came across well. At the same time, a former accounting lead was voted through for a further period as a director but one wonders what he's contributing these days

Perhaps he's acting as Adam Saul's underling, lining up the beans to be counted, as it were

Contributing to the Ogdens matchday wine bill probably. It's a great question though, what does he contribute and what does Gauge contribute? He doesn't contribute in regards to expertise when it comes to business acumen and has no more knowledge when it comes to football than the average man on the terrace. If you had just purchased a football club you would seek out those who know the club, the ones who have been in the Boardroom and have local contacts. The Ogdens need to engage with Chris Dunphy and spend a couple of hours in his company, the best Chairman we've ever had. Jamie Sarsfield was ostracised from the club by the current board after helping to save the club, he's another dyed in the wool, straight talking guy who is missed. Get people like those involved with the Club again and season tickets would fly off the shelf, individuals who the fans can relate too and have a beer with. It's a fan club this, no room for people on the Boardroom who think they are doing you a favour by even speaking to you. The Ogdens and Jamie Willoughby need to start listening to their customers, the fans and take notice of what they are saying. Take Chris Dunphy out for dinner, it will be the best couple of hundred quid the Ogdens could spend.

I bet a certain director didn’t put his hand in his pocket when the board had that meal at Stocco after their meeting about the pitch a few weeks back.

If i was the Ogdens i would give all those involved in buying back the Morton House shares a place alongside Jack the kitman and make them honorary members, or whatever the recognition is termed as. Gauge and his family put a lot of money in, make him a life president, we dont need two chairman. Put another plaque on the wall with their names on. I find it ridiculous really that Jack the kitman is given such recognition by the club, yet Chris Dunphy who was Chairman during two promotions to league one and oversaw the redevelopment of the stadium is completely snubbed by Simon Gauge and the Ogdens. That's a insult and a stain on the club and a sad reflection on Simon Gauges time as Chairman...childish and petty. A ex Chairman who has many good contacts in and around the Town and was responsible for RMBC investing in the Stadium during his time at the club. He lives in the vicinity, it beggars belief why Jamie Willoughby etc aren't contacting him and using him to help open doors. I can only think that Simon Gauge bears a grudge again but let's face it, Simon Gauge doesn't run the club anymore.

If they are serious about building the crowds this summer i would look at bringing Chris Dunphy back into the fold in a advisory capacity, invite Jamie Sarsfield back as a Director because of his business links and get up and go attitude and have a serious think about the entertainment on offer under McNulty, because there's very little to enthuse the floating supporter. Changes are needed and that would boost season ticket sales over the summer and further strengthen us off the pitch, bringing people in with strong local contacts within the Town that will help the Ogden family.

I think it’s pretty obvious Gauge has it in for Dunphy given the behaviour of his pet former non-exec director who went into all out attack mode when Dunphy expressed an interest in coming back. You know, the one who was involved in Gauge telling us the club was in a good financial state about a season before it all went tits up?

I’m also staggered about Jack somehow getting that recognition. I’ve never got the hero worship and never will, especially after Bottomley gave him some of his shares. That’s never sat right with me.

100% correct. Chris Harrison was Gauge's advisor at the time and the non exec Director you refer to. His attack on Chris Dunphy was a disgrace and a sad reflection on both himself and Simon Gauge. Harrison was constantly telling anybody who would listen how nobody would ever invest in the club with real money and it was either Gauge's way or the highway...we'd have the likes of James Lawerence and a DJ from Norwich running the club now if we'd have listened to them two...World Soccer Holdings, a con man who lived in a flat in Preston who tricked Gauge into believing that he lived in a plush pad in St Annes. Gauge fell hook, line and sinker for it yet again and then had the temerity to blame the fans for scuppering the deal...no wonder nobody likes him. He tried to railroad the shareholders and the fans. He always knows best does Simon, his way or the highway.

It was the fans who ultimately saved the club and on more than one occasion when you look back over the last three or four years. They were even responsible for introducing the Ogden family to the club, nothing to do with Simon Gauge who was already in bed with a bunch of Americans at the time of the infamous AGM when his desperation to get the deal over the line stank the room out ...his fellow Directors will confirm that. According to him on the night there were no other credible candidates, a lot of people in the room that night knew that was a lie and he misled the shareholders and railroaded them into voting a certain way. A disgrace and a vote that should have been null and void. If he had a ounce of remorse he would now resign from his position and let the Ogdens and the supporters start with a new slate. I dont think his ego will let him do that though unfortunately so the Ogden family should put him out to grass and finally sort out the Boardroom once and for all. Then we can all move forward together as one and it will really be the start of a new era.

I doubt he has an ounce of remorse, but what's also missing is an oùnce of honour. Is that someone the Ogdens want to be in business with?

When they took over last year, they wouldn't have had that picture, but been sold the tale of how he'd rescued the club. As you say, it was the fana and in particular the shareholders who did that by getting rid of Bottomley and his fellow travelers

Do the Ogdens now have the bigger picture? There's signs that they do, with the leadership reorganisation. Gauge needs to go, along with Pockney. It was a tiny percentage of shares that voted against the latter continuing as a director at the last AGM, but many don't really see that bigger picture and probably didn't want to rock the boat with the Ogdens. Things are moving on now and for Dale to succeed both on and off the pitch, further work is needed

McNulty is a Gauge appointment. The Ogden plan is going nowhere with either of them on board

I believe it was 6 months between the bullish, rude financial health statement and the club going up for sale.

"At April 2022, the club has a stable financial platform and cash reserves to be well positioned for next season. We have returned during 2021/22 to being a properly and prudently run football club ..."

The PR effect alone of Sir Peter embracing Chris Dunphy would be huge. I believe there are some bridges to be built with other VPs but this situation can be addressed positively

Harrison did a tremendous job over the whole Morton House thing but I’ll never forget how he went after me and made it personal over my private life. He knows what he did and I know he’ll read this.

“He was deliberately misleading the EFL”
