Is this a Spackman? Never done one before, I’m going for a sneaky 1-0 Jimmy Dunne extravaganza!

Sounds like we deserved a point and the players are trying their hardest ...so that is a positive. We are going to end the season however with one of, if not the worst goal scoring records in our clubs history. Taxi for Celar.

A friend of mine was at the game, probably the only game he could get Tickets for as he is not QPR. He texted me that the game was ok but the Carlsberg is shit.Saito and Nardi were our best players he thought.
I was at the Sunderland game which was ok too and a draw, so watch out for the Derby game as another friend of mine will be there...

If Stoke had actually decided to turn up today they would have won that easily.
They looked like they were going through the motions, we looked liked we were giving everything.

Grim.

Not so sure, they're just a very bang average Championship team (ie: not very good). I've watched them a couple of times this season and they've been awful, a lot poorer than today.

For me that was the best performance of the season by far but once again mistakes have cost us. Gave them the goal and then Celar, I mean, take a penalty, goalkeeper saves it then fine, that happens, but at least hit it between an area that is 192sq ft from 12 bloody yards. We ain’t got no space for sentiment and why Madsen didn’t take it I don’t know. Enjoyed the performances of both Saito (MOTM for me), and Smyth, but again, will someone teach Smyth the science of keeping your body shape when shooting. Verrane is also starting to settle into the team now and is looking a decent signing, Madsen was better, even made a tackle and Morrison looks a decent centre half, very composed and hopefully will have no more injury issues. All in all thought we deserved the win and with a little bit more luck we could have replicated the score from last season. 23 attempts on goal is a big move forward.

Poll: Where will Clive put QPR in his new season preview

Rangers v the Oat Cake Eaters match thread on 16:56 - Nov 23 by BrianMcCarthy

Disappointing result, but decent enough performance.

You sound like Marti after pretty much every/any match!

For me, though we had some spells of sorts, and Saito was a constant thorn, It was a very fits-and-starts showing, and Stoke could easily have won it, what with the superb and questionably/belatedly disallowed goal (for which Ward was seemingly working hard to get back in our good books) and Cannon, the kind of real striker we can apparently only dream of, brilliantly denied by Nardi. Alfie was a bit unlucky at the end with the best chance of the game, though between them him and Andersen should have finished it, which kinds of sums up our season.

Though we weren't as bad as we have been, I don't know how Marti pulls this around and have little confidence he can, even with JCS, a half-fit Chair and a surly Colback back in the team. With or without them, we cannot score goals of our own, and we are always likely to concede one or two. Others could probably add more names, but the likes of Celar, Madsen, Santos, Lloyd, Varane, and Smyth, despite the fact that I like him in some ways and his winning a 50-50 pen today (not that that helped us) gave us a glimmer until our unlovable Slovenian stepped up, are just not good enough.

The club has recruited for relegation and, frankly, it deserves all it gets. If I were Marti, and I cared about my career if nothing else, I'd walk!

Thought we were much better today, obviously the missed penalty but Johansson has also made three or four unreal saves. Madsen, Ashby, and Saito the standouts for me. Not quite out of it yet, only two losses in the last six, but we need to scrape a win from somewhere.

'Not quite out of it yet' is an interesting spin on our current predicament - we're 5 points from fourth bottom with a princely 13 goals from 16 games. Are you doing a YTS with Nourry, out of interest?

A low quality game between 2 poor sides. I can't believe how often professional footballers cannot pass the ball 15m to a player wearing the same colour kit.
At least we got a point. Better than 0.

But you miss a penalty , hit the post 2x and are still reliant on an OG, this is going to be a 46 game struggle. With a dismal outcome?

And that's my point. A poor team who we still couldn't beat despite that they looked completely disinterested.

We were poor. Stoke not much better. When Celar was subbed we were not quite so poor.

We really need to cut our losses with Celar. Send him on loan to a Conference side if you want to develop him. If not get rid .

But even as poor as we were , we should really have won this match. But there are zero goals in this team. Unless we stump up and get a proven goal scorer in January we will be in League 1 for sure come May.

Saito man of the match. How about rising above everyone for that header right at the end.

Our situation is totally down to our owner, his chairman and his CEO/DOF.

Marti In. Nourry Out !

Just back. I've seen a lot worse this year. Started well. Not sure why we then sat back a bit. Horrible defending from Dunne for their goal but they didn't give up. We're not a good team and we make scoring a goal look almost impossible. We just need to try not to find ourselves more than five or six points adrift of safety going into the transfer window. There are at least 6 or 7 very poor teams in the league this year. While that remains the case, I'm not giving up hope. A win on Wednesday would be glorious.

Yep, far from over.

23 shots today, 16 from inside the box.

Well we are in it. The shite that is.

The only hope left is we lose these useless owners, get taken over by a witches coven, who then put a curse on the other 23 clubs.

No way this pathetic squad will stay up otherwise.

I totally understand the sense of despair from many but we can't just give up with so much of the season to play. Looks to me like the players still care even if they're not very good. Celar could do with a spell away from the starting 11 but there's so few options. Lloyd puts himself about a bit but he's just another Sinclair Armstrong. Fine for the last 10-15 minutes but never a starter. Similar with Paul Smyth. It's a struggle to watch him play so many minutes when he is such a limited player but there really are no other options.

Of course It's far from over but we're bottom of the league by merit, not by bad luck.

You can have a hundred shots at the goal but If you haven't got anyone half decent up front or someone who knows how to score then your f cked.

We haven't had a decent or even a half decent striker since I don't know when, why haven't the Management or whoever deals with signing's recognised this? we so badly needed to win that game today.

Despite all our effort, we were not good enough.

I didn’t see anything that gave me confidence or hope. That penalty miss…my god!

Time is all we have, just have to pray we get a few wins and that three other teams are worse than us.

How mad am I to leave my family for the afternoon, to go and watch this team in the cold and rain, knowing how bad they’d be?

Edit: Calmed down slightly - very pleased Saito scored.

Agreed. Smyth and Lloyd are subs to come on after 60 mins. They aren’t really good enough for long stints

I'm sure the players are giving it their all...bar a couple who I won't mention. But it really is wishful thinking to think this squad of players is remotely capable of turning this around. It's a harsh reality and not for everyone - that is fair enough. I prefer no hope than hope continually crushed. Club needs resetting.
