MC has got to go 21:59 - Nov 5 with 50785 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | Sorry, but that has done it for me. You don't put a right footed player, you don't trust, at left back, yet leave your left footed defender at right back. Fcking stupid. A shapeless, gutless performance. Players walking, not challenging, arguing with each other. No shape, no desire. Something has to happen and fast as we have relegation written all over us. ***having had a good night's sleep, I don't want MC sacked, I just can't sit through this anymore. I actually hate this club at the moment.*** [Post edited 6 Nov 6:38]

MC has got to go on 23:35 - Nov 9 by SK_hoops | Got talking to a West Ham fan today. Told him what was going wrong and he was absolutely baffled when I told him we let a 26 yr old be CEO and DOF. It's actually embarrassing. Everyone sees that except the owners. |
He needs to be removed from his role ASAP before he causes some irreversible damage.

Whilst I remain unconvinced that any manager could get a tune out of this current squad, Mark Robins is one manager I have a lot of time for. He did a fantastic job at a Coventry team that had fallen through the divisions and didn't even have a home at one point. That said, I suspect he'll have a lot of suitors and won't be keen on joining yet another basket case of a club.

MC has got to go on 23:16 - Nov 9 by ParkRoyalR | Attacking set pieces was atrocious, Id be happy just to see a coherent attacking style which a previous poster noted we've seem away at Preston and home against Leeds, Austin shot to pieces and a terrible pro (sic), You wouldn't want Warburton to replace Nourry, really? Sure you're not on the board with such insight? |
Yes you are correct that Austin was a terrible pro. However, Warburton's signings of Hendrick, Sanderson and Gray was also a disaster which nearly got us relegated. Those 3 were awful players and completely unsettled the squad (as evidenced by the terrible losing run we went on immediately after we signed them). Warburton is definitely NOT the answer, just like Nourry is not the answer. I think L1 under MC may be the answer.

MC has got to go on 10:25 - Nov 7 by Padulas_Shampoo | If you have a leaky roof that lets water in and damages the carpet, what do you fix? The carpet or the roof? I am absolutely flabbergasted that anyone could look at what is - I would say - the biggest clusterfvck of all QPR historical clusterfvcks that is this season / squad and surmise that the manager is the thing that needs to change in order to fix it. A manager who finally got a tune out of a group of players that hadn't performed for their previous three managers last season. There really isn't a man alive that could take the current squad with all its injuries and issues and get us playing well enough to survive relegation. And if that man does exist I really don't think he'll pitch up cap in hand on South Africa Road. a fvcking 442 instead of a 433 won't fix this mess. we could play an 888 and get beat 4-0. This group of owners have allowed themselves to be financially extorted by an embarrassing amount of managers, agents, players, coaches, scouts, performance analysts, data analysts, the whole fvcking lot. They have allowed it again and again, over and over. They trusted Mark Hughes, Harry Redknapp and Kia Joorabchian. They bought what Michael Beale was selling. And now, here we all are, swallowing the impact of them being chatted up by a 26 year old charlatan to the tune of handing him the keys to the fvcking bank account, the fvcking recruitment and the fvcking dressing room. Look... It's done now. They've fvcked it. It's over. And they've fvcked it so badly that not only is the squad in complete and total disarray indefinitely but you have some pretty serious contempt between the club and the fans by way of drying up all communication lines. This is how I would run Chelsea if afforded the opportunity. The running of this club since the end of last year has been so bad I believe we could genuinely start to wonder whether there's a serious attempt being made to tear it down from within. These people cannot make the right decision. They're incapable. At least from a football club perspective. It's been a decade. A fvcking decade of trusting crooks and being sold dreams by people that have no ability to supply them. A fvcking decade handing over money again and again and again to people that have actively designed systems by which to get it. Over and over and fvcking over. And at time we've been expected to be grateful and sympathetic that they've been prepared to do it. A fvcking decade of a losing culture with absolutely no relent. League One won't fix us. It'll be the same bollocks by a different degree. These people have to step aside, get out of their own way and out of our way. They may be generous but what's the point in generosity when it all goes into black fvcking markets? Marti may not be the most magnificent shagpile but I'm telling you now he's one of the more positive things that we've managed to luck ourselves into within this fvcking abominable decade. Treat the cancer at the top of this fvcking club because until you do everthing within it will erode and debase and suffer and bleed and it won't fvcking stop. |

PLEASE SOMEONE - Buy QPR and execute a Share Issue to the fans - so we at least have some skin in the game? League 1 inevitable now so we'd better get used to it and hope the future will be better with new ownership.

MC has got to go on 13:05 - Nov 10 with 2584 views | SimplyNico | Part of the problem with Nourry is that so much of what is freely availabile about the child on the internet does not stack up. To start with, the Club's announcement on 12 Jan 2024 about his appointment - https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/2024/january/12/christian-nourry-replaces-lee-hoos-as This states that : "Nourry has spent the past half-decade as an advisor and consultant to some of the most significant ownership groups and football clubs worldwide, most recently in his capacity as Managing Partner for Europe of market-leading football data analytics and advisory business, RETEXO. It adds that "Nourry previously served as co-founder of the Get Football Group, a sports media organisation specialising in the provision of news and analysis of European football in English to millions of fans worldwide as well as other international media companies." Okay - so the past 5 years - back to January 2019 then. However, there is then this interview that he gave to the Business School at Imperial College London seemingly after April 2021 (because of the timings in the Article) - https://www.imperial.ac.uk/business-school/faculty-research/research-centres/gan From this, he was apparently at Trinity, Oxford prior to 2019/2020 when he was next at Imperial (remember of course that Covid was in full swing then). That article has him as founder of HB Media in April 2021 (which was clearly a bunch of nobodies- "HB Media is made up of 10 Gen Z team members, all 24 or younger and almost all with some major early experience in media or entertainment – from an ex-production assistant of a Hollywood actor, to an ex-singer/songwriter who had recording deal offers from Sony and Universal.") It was a social media business for 19 to 24 year olds (his age at the time). There is no mention of him working in football or setting up Get Football Group. HB Media Group Limited was a real entity https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/officers/n7hGT1sbqJN2 Not a roaring success according to its accounts and wound up in January 2024 (when he was appointed at QPR). The chronology suggests that he did a degree, did a course at Imperial 19/20, set up HB Media. He clearly joined RETEXO at some point after April 2021 - HB's accounts for31 December 2022 are for a dornant company. He does not appear to have been advising leading European clubs for the last 5 years. In short, I am calling bullsh!t on him. [Post edited 10 Nov 13:33]

Retexo is one of the many spider webs. Some Nourry highlights: - On joining: “my 11 years in football.” (He was 26, allegedly working in football from 15 years old…alarm bells…) - On Dembele: “we made it a permanent deal after he hit the required number of appearances” (6 appearances) - On Contract Lengths “Sheffield United and Portsmouth don’t disclose contract lengths either” (not true) - On Kolli: “not playing because of competition ahead of him” (year left on contract and negotiations not going well) It’s as if Nourry thinks he can get away with saying things that are simply not true, because he won’t be found out. Perhaps because it worked for him in his career before QPR, as no one called him out on it? But deceit is not a good trait. And football is a VERY public business, people talk. Especially how Nourry goes about his business… it’s fair to say those who have met the man don’t have a good word to say about him. As for Retexo, it was a 2-man band recruitment consultancy, spun as a global AI and data analytics firm. A version of events that has more curves than a mountain road. We are in real trouble as a club and the owners need to front up and make urgent changes. [Post edited 10 Nov 15:45]

Warburton though was scapegoated for the collapse of a season when the reasons (injuries, recruitment) had little to do with him. He made plenty of mistakes undoubtedly. The people running the show were allowed another swing at it and produced an even more ridiculously bad transfer window and a season of three disastrous managerial appointments. Sacking Cifuentes would scapegoat him for a collapse when the reasons (injuries, recruitment) have little to do with him. He’s made plenty of mistakes undoubtedly. I would not be letting the people responsible for this have another swing with a managerial appointment and transfer window.

I must admit to backing Nourry, or at least prepared to give him more time , but after Boro and then Leeds my patience has dwindled quite considerably. I think MC has to take some responsibility for our performances though. Im not saying sack him, at all, but he needs to improve. He's inexperienced in this league and he's getting outplayed. I'd have someone like Steve Gallen back in the DoF role. Where's Penrice ? Ask him back to head the scouting department. With my limited knowledge ,thats about the only people i can think of to change things up. My Warnock suggestion on another thread got scoffed at, so maybe we'll rule him out.(despite his knowledge of football)
