I have an issue with the woke majority there from clear middle class backgrounds paying out £700 for a ticket for him / them / they and the Mrs / Mr / those / etc for 2 with their plastic tents (thousands are left to clear up each year) and the 25 tonnes of rubbish blowing across the environment, trampled fields and countless (thousands) of cars emitting carbon into the atmosphere. They conveniently forget that multi national companies make profits who support everything they despise whilst a vegan sausage roll and a pint of warm beer is £17.
Every act is flown in by helicopter damaging the environment whilst these creepy ‘hippies’ berate the police but would be the first to call them when they their entitled lives are in the slightest bit challenged.
And all the while they dance and celebrate whilst a huge mock up of a boat with caricatures of illegal immigrants are passed over the crowd in only what I can describe as Middle Class Britain celebrating the death of hundreds of migrants in our waters each year.
Full on, 100% thick, entitled ponces.

Their later stuff can be a bit hit and miss (although Viva la Vida is a cracking album), but the first two or three albums stand up well against the output of the majority of bands.
I guess being seen as "a bit posh" leaves them wide open to music snobs who are more interested in an artists worthiness rather than their quality.

Keith there has always been snobbery in music, with some looking down on others because of their musical taste. Music is there to be enjoyed by everyone, just because something is not your musical taste, it doesn't necessarily make it rubbish.

I love live music and have tagged along with my wife to see bands I wouldn't normally see. Often I have been pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the gig, live music often bares no resemblance to recordings and radio.
It's always been the case. Witness the snobbery the prog rockers faced in the music press from the 70's onwards.
