I was trying to help you out by providing an example of someone who played for QPR and is able to communicate clearly as a pundit.

My point is always that the focus should be on the quality of the punditry rather than whether they played for QPR or not. You appear to like some that I do not and vice versa.

My tip today mate

I've listened to pretty much every episode of Kickback with Nedum and I found them OK. Not amazing. I find I'm generally on the Clint Hill/Shaun Derry side of the 2011-2015 argument rather than the Onouha/SWP side, and I found a lot of the talk about that period on Nedum's podcast a little frustrating. Bumped into him last year in the Greggs in Stockley Park, because he was doing punditry for an international feed funnily enough.

All anybody (Including Barton) has been asking for is the likes of Nedum Onouha and people of that ilk instead of random retired women's footballers we've barely heard of. We're not asking for pundits based on their ability to articulate complex ideas, or their ability to ensure representation. What we're asking for is relevant, qualified pundits. If those people turn out to talk a load of crap then that'll be fed back, and they can move on to other things ala Michael Owen.

You think Nedum is remarkably more articulate than Jamie, I'm not sure that's fair personally, but that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I'm not going to call you names for it or suggest anything about your character because of it.

Just like it's my opinion that the women they've got doing punditry on men's football at the moment are not suitable, capable or qualified to be in the position they are.

Not trolling. Not a women hater. I have 2 female dependants (0 male but working on it) and they seem perfectly happy with me. Just saying it as I see it.

The guy obviously has problems but the thing is unless he deals with his trauma he has then you can't feel sorry for him as he is always lashing out at people.

Gary Neville now getting involved:

I was wondering when someone might tell Barton to stop being such an incel trying to bully women online. It’s one thing to say you don’t like female pundits or commentators but digging out specific women online is very low even by Barton’s standards.

Unfortunately, it gives Barton the attention he’s desperately seeking.

Yep.

The tough guys that are all having a massive say over how young boys will grow up to view 1 in 2 humans on the planet..

I'm not sure anymore if he is cleverly manipulating idiots in the same way several other high profile people do on social media to create a new career for himself or if he is having a very public mental breakdown.

The number of people backing him and going full in abusing and mocking women on social media who work in football shows how dangerous and irresponsible his comments are

Yeah I’m in two minds on this one as ordinarily I’d say ignore Barton and don’t give the attention he craves but he crossed a line the minute he started calling at specific female pundits and basically trying to bully them online whilst emboldening others to do the same.

Let’s not forget that it’s this kind of online bullying that led to Caroline Flack taking her own life so I’m not sure ignoring it and letting it escalate is the best thing to do. So maybe it’s time for more male footballers (and others who Barton can’t punch down on) to tell him to give it a rest.

Anyone remember when Barton played for us and was digging out the Only Way is Essex crowd online until the boxer Kevin Mitchell told him to reign it in which he promptly did. This is how you deal with bullies.

Let's keep this thread on the bully Barton and not try to make political point-scoring remarks, as that could open a huge can of worms.

Some of the stuff he's coming out with is horrific but his followers seem to lap it up, far too many QPR fans I follow retweeting and cheering him on.

The penny will drop one day that the more people talk about these pundits and the more abuse they give them the more likely they are to be hired again

Barton wouldn't care, its about him at the end of the day. He's always been a toxic bully with a hugely inflated ego - look at the whole freekick shite when he (dis)graced the hoops

I don't think he's well at all. Threatened Neville (in embarrassing fashion) after his tweet and is now going directly at individuals.

Seek help Joey.

Gutted about Joey Barton. When he joined, one of my best (non-QPR) football mates said to me, "Don't let Joey Baron be your hero, he'll let you down." Now, he certainly never achieved hero-status, but he was a player I really genuinely liked. I've always liked "bad boys" - starting with John McEnroe in the 80s - so liking Joey was natural for me.

The Man City incident never really bothered me. And one of my defining Barton memories was at home to Sheff Weds on first day of 13/14 season. We conceded a first-minute goal... captain Clint Hill's head dropped, but Barton was the one rallying the players in the immediate aftermath and galvanising the team - we went on to win 2-1. I loved his fighting spirit. Clint Hill's a legend for me, by the way - no disrespect to him intended.

Anyway... I've turned a blind-eye to so much Barton crap in recent years, hoping that certain incidents were "not as bad as they sound" etc. This latest stuff though is crystal clear, incessant, disgusting and inexcusable. I'm done with him, 100%.

Can’t stand Barton as a person, I don’t care what colour or Gender a commentator is as long as they they know what they are talking about. For me Eni Alumo is a crap pundit but Barton is way out of order on this one.

Now, I'm not a Scott Brown fan - please don't tell him
- but his comments relating to Barton at the end of this clip are a bit special

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Love to watch him actually have to debate his views on TV, just to show him up for the ignorant, racist, misogynistic, thick yob he really is.

Who listens and agrees with his drivel? Hopefully no one on here.
