Seny Dieng - Reims who are mid table in Ligue 1 reportedly interested Conor Masterson - Gillingham, where he spent the 2nd half of the season; are confident of signing him, but Exeter are also interested

"[The 'Mister' is] adapted from Navy terminology. Starfleet uses Navy ranks and (when it occurred to them) other navy jargon, e.g. "Number One" for the first officer.
In the Navy, a senior officer will address a junior officer as "Mister". Kirk called all his officers "Mister", except for the doctor, who has a separate title. He never called Uhura "Mister", but he did refer to "Mister Saavik" in The Wrath of Khan.
It dates back to Royal Navy traditions. You can see it used in the film Master and Commander, or in the film/book Mister Roberts. The exact usage depends on the time period; sometimes it was everybody below Commander; sometimes everybody but the Captain.
Star Trek didn't have a military consultant, and they frequently botched the terminology. To enlisted men, he should be "Lieutenant Commander Spock" (or later, "Commander Spock"). (Not that we saw many of them; nearly everybody seemed to be an "Ensign", even the redshirts.) The same would go for lower ranks, who should call him "Sir" or his rank."

They are going for it, they will sign everybody, like a mini Forest

That can't be within the rules. Someone call the copse!

Regan Poole has joined Portsmouth. So we can cross that option off the list.
Anyone else growing slightly concerned that our RB options are Kakay and Drewe?
I keep going back and forth on that one. All things considered maybe this is the season to give Ozzy the start and let him get on with that, with Drewe as back-up.
I know Drewe got roasted at times last season, but at other times he didn't - I haven't given up on him and don't think we can afford to anyway. Could also say the same about Ozzy though which is why I keep going back and forth in the first place.
Overall, I'd leave RB alone for now unless either: an option comes up who can add a good amount to the team this season and has potential re-sale value OR we have money left over after filling other vital positions (LOL etc - highly unlikely I know...)

Appreciate full-backs are important but the spine of this team is piss weak and weaker without Dieng so that has to be the priority IMO. Kakay if he stays fit is fine. Not great but fine.

Thats a poor move from him. Gone for money surely? They've bought a whole team this transfer market already it seems. The reason he was leaving Lincoln was to prove himself at a higher level, which i believe he would definately be able to do, so this seems an odd choice.
I wonder who GA was refering to when he alluded to 'missing out on a couple of players already?'

I still think we’re nearly there. Just need a decent keeper. Four defenders. Four or five midfielders. And a couple of lads up top that can put the ball in the net.

As far as I can see in terms of proven players who are competitive in this division, we have:
1 centre back, with a second centre back who is good enough but will only play 10 games. 1 left back 1 central midfielder 2 number 10s, both of whom might leave 1 striker
That is absolutely desperate. Agree with the above that spine is important, but Christ there is a hell of a lot more to do than just stiffen the spine.
Bare bones.

When you put it like that it reminds me of the surgeries of Dr Christopher Duntsch. No spine, no neck, no life.

Isn't he right footed, but was better playing on the left than Dickie was?
He is right footed, and I think Dunne will play a large chunk of his season at right back.
Guardiola plays mainly with four centre backs, two of them filling full back area . It will increasingly become the trend I reckon (not that Mick McCarthy hasn’t been doing it years earlier but now its becoming more common thanks to Pep)

A big difference is that City's players can pass the ball & McCarthy's couldn't!
