Windsor Castle intruder on 13:39 - Dec 27 with 2715 views | Sirjohnalot | I represented a chap many years ago who tried to rub the local gun club…..on the night when all members were there on the club’s shooting range. When the police came, he was crying and cowering in the corner with about 15 guns trained on him.

It does seem rather strange that some people speak so unkindly of this great country of ours, there are no locks on the exit gate, come to think of it, there are no locks on the entry gate either.

Windsor Castle intruder on 22:33 - Dec 28 with 2182 views | majorraglan | When we look back through history some pretty dreadful atrocities have taken place. The British Empire was responsible for a number of these, but it was by no means alone in committing these types of atrocities and many other “Empires” and Governments did similar things, it was all about politics, power, money, trade and keeping the local population in line etc etc etc. In fact these atrocities are still taking place in some countries and are recent history in others. What took place in Amritsar was terrible and we have to face up to it. We shouldn't forget what’s happened and we should stop any attempts to brush it under the carpet, if we are to stop similar incidents taking place in the future we have to face up to what’s happened in the past. The massacre was over 100 years ago and was committed by people who’ve long departed our world, those living today played no part in it and are not responsible, but we should not be afraid to acknowledge the wrongs of previous generations. What exactly do "we" have to face up to, the now never ending wailing and moaning about what happened in many cases generations ago . pull down down another statue, deface another memorial .Yes other countries are as equally guilty of such atrocities but strange that for many, those very same countries some wish we aspired to be . There are many media sources available to access so the likely hood that anything is swept under the carpet is remote and even when its happening right now such as in China , Russia I don't see anyone shouting from the roof tops about what's happening there right now . I wonder how many on here enjoy their fortnight holiday abroad in Egypt for example a country who happen to top the list of countries for human rights abuse , the UK aren't even on any such list but some who love to put the country would rather focus on the past misdeeds because it fits an agenda than accept we have progressed as a society due to education and opportunity , both of which then that didn't exist for the masses .

To underline your point the likes of onehunglow have no idea, they can't comprehend that 'our' people would do that and that is because things are brushed under the carpet so many people don't have the foggiest, they think we are liked by everybody across the World.
