More than a quarter of those scheduled to have the Covid vaccine across Swansea Bay on Monday failed to turn up.
In one day alone, out of 1,750 appointments, 492 did not attend their appointment at the mass vaccination centres.
I think that's absolutely scandalous, at least pick the phone up and cancel.

I wi8 always be grateful for the nurse who spotted something was wrong and the way they acted afterwards. Having 8 doctors plus nurses around you isnt good and my wife having a call saying I had taken a turn for the worse isnt good for her.
Luckily the matron at the time I knew very well from old illnesses. They were wonderful. Liz looked after my wife when she turned up. Whilst in ITU my heart had raced to over 160 beats per minute and the nurse was telling me it is like running a marathon whilst lying in bed. The ITU doctor was talking about putting a line into my neck but luckily it never became necessary as my heart reacted to the drugs and started slowing. Having 4 ITU doctors and 4 Cardiology doctors comes as a shock.
When I came out to the ward one of the cardiology doctors did a round the next day and said you are looking better than when I saw you last and told me she was one of those called. I didnt remember seeing her but there were so many there I am not surprised.
The pneumonia and sepsis nearly killed me but luckily I am now better and have been able to shield for the last 3 months.
However according to WR I am lucky to have been shielding whilst others are working. I pretty much know that if I catch covid I will die so am happy to shield. Having to remain in whilst others go out isnt what anyone would want. Obviously there are mental health issues us shielders face. Confidence to go out afterwards is a problem yet WR thinks I am lucky to be shielding.

I know a couple of people including my mother who had lots of exposure to it yet never developed symptoms and got knocked out for a day or two after jab #1. |  |

Had my second this Thursday. Had worse with hepatitis jab.Tetanu far more uncomfortable to the frightened ones.
This jab could save my life and some don't want it?

Mrs CJ, is the only person working on her ward who didn't catch the virus, everyone else did. She doesn't know why, but thinks she had covid in December 2019, although we didn't know of it at the time. She had an antibody test that came back negative, but it's the only thing she can put it down to. | | | |
