Ebere Eze - Thank You & All the Best 11:25 - Aug 28 with 4723 viewsParkRoyalR

Appreciate there are other threads but just wanted to to start one to say why he's been so good for us and for me why he has renewed my enthusiasm for football and our club:

1) Always made good time for the fans, whether home or away, outside the ground or at some far-flung train station - genuine top lad

2) Always showed for the ball on the pitch, never hid, always took responsibility for free kicks or corners, and not in a Joey Barton way, but to the teams benefit

3) Always played for the team, whether it be surging forward at the right time, or holding the ball to win a free kick so the defence could step up and re-organise - always put the team first

And for being a great QPR No 10, and entertaining us fans after a few tough years.

Clive said it for me: "Ebere Eze goes with our absolute best wishes. A brilliant, beautiful player, a grounded and well-mannered boy, an immaculate professional and a credit to our club, his family and himself"

I loved watching you Ebere - sometimes your play was breathtaking. Go well.

Fantastic player and enjoyed watching him at QPR. The excitement of the fans every time he picked up the ball was great!

Really hope he does well at Cripple Alice and will enjoy watching him play on MOTD (if he gets game time)

Hope we can find a decent number 10 to fill his boots!

I have little doubt he will get game time, he is that good. For the first time in a few years, a player that had me on the edge of my seat from the virtually the moment he first got picked.

Go on EE go and knock em dead in the Premier league and beyond.

First time I have gone on to the website that our player has moved on to to watch his interview.

I hope he does really well for them and tears up the premier league and we see him playing for England in a couple of years.

Poll: With no leg room, knees killing me, do I just go now or stay for the 2nd half o?

Marsh
Bowles
Stainrod
Byrne
Wegerle
Taarabt
Eze

The magnificent 7. I was too young for Rodney and Stan has always been my footballing hero. If I could heal any further praise on young Ebs is that out of those names it was Stan that he reminded me of the most. A true QPR no.10. And to add to this in the days of cheating to excess, diving, faking injury I cannot recall this ever being part of his game. That speaks volumes about him. He loves football and wherever his career takes him, and I believe it will be to the very top then I hope that the lad will always hold Rangers closest to his heart.

Thanks for the memories and all the best fortune for your future career.

Mr Chair, I hope that you are next in line.

UUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRR’SSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know. It really is criminal how people keep forgetting tony currie in our list of number tens (I would place him 3rd behind only Marsh and bowles). He was a fantastic player who was second only to perhaps Wilkins as the best passer i’ve seen at rangers

Will go onto great things.

In his first palace interview he heaps praise on Paul Hall, Andey Impey & Chris Ramsey as bringing him through.

I dont often use this word when describing a footballer....but Ebs is truly beautiful

I think “Beautiful” is the best word to describe him. Just look how many people used that word commenting on Clive’s piece.

His balance, touch, guile, skill, reading of the game...it was beautiful.

It was brilliant to watch him the last two seasons. He has carried this side, in ways often unnoticed. He has been a brilliant servant to the club. He deserves all the best.

I’m convinced his natural talent is enough to play for and succeed with England. Show it, Ebere. Look after him, Palace. Trust him, Roy.

I am not trying to one up anyone or suchlike but when I first watched him play in the live games that the club used to show of our U23's I knew he was something special. IIRC there was Manning, Smyth, Chair, Osayi-Samuel, Chay Tilt and Deshane Dalling all playing together and I used to honestly think that team was better to watch than the first team at the time.
It is extremely difficult to think of anyone nicer than him in professional football with that amount of outrageous talent, in fact just harder to think of anyone nicer than him. Even the fact that he drove a Qashqai shows the humility the boy has, no chrome wrapped special edition Bentley Mulsanne Turbo for him. I wish him nothing but the very best for the future and to remain injury free throughout his career.

The grass is always greener.

Even his debut in that cup game for the short time he was on he looked tidy. I remember walking back up LR to the Uxbridge Rd and one of the few positives was “that Eze lad looked tidy enough”.

Palace must use him right.

I’d add Akos to that list. Ebs certainly belongs there. Can Ilias make the ten his own?

A really well brought up young man with a rare talent yet he remained humble and loyal. For the number of times he was fouled, I cannot recall him retaliating once. A credit to our club and to himself. Hope he takes the Premier League by storm. Thanks Ebere and best wishes.

This.

I’ve never seen a player like him at QPR, better players yes but none with his style and way of playing, like Taarabt he’s a rare talent. He was classy on and off the pitch, a real credit to himself, his family & friends and also the club. I hope he goes on to tear it up in the Prem, I‘m sure he will. Well done Ebere, you deserve it, you’ve earned it, we wish you well.

Poll: Who’s better?
