Right back against Liverpool 17:45 - Jan 31 with 2873 views | mancuniansaint | Just wondering? With Cedric gone, Walker-Peters "not featuring", Valery still ill (?), Ramsey also departed on loan, Danso leaving by mutual consent....who will be our makeshift RB tomorrow?

Right back against Liverpool on 17:54 - Jan 31 with 2831 views | SonicBoom | Has danso actually gone? That's the beauty of football. You dont need a right back. You can take any player, put them at the back on the right and they become a right back. Midfielder, centre forward, in fact the bloke that opens the gate at staplewood. They magically become a right back. Once the club realised this, they knew theyd found a way to save millions.

Ward-Prowse at right back tomorrow, with Valery on the bench?

So we're getting rid of a proven PL player for someone who's had a handful of appearances for Spurs. Makes sense

Exactly! Very few people realise that Ward-Prowse isn't too bad at right back - he kept Zaha quiet!

It's hard to tell. I watched the Spurs cup game and wasn't sure whether he was on the pitch or not

With JWP at right back and Armstrong injured, who‘s going to fill in in midfield? Boufal and Djenepo in a Kamikaze all out attacking line up? Or Stephens at right back and Westergaard and Bednarek in central defence (which probably won’t turn out well...)

Right back against Liverpool on 02:12 - Feb 1 with 2493 views | Ripleys_revenge | Whoever we play at RB, the problem is the loss of Armstrong who offered Cedric (and JWP against Palace) excellent protection. I think that's also what really helped Cedric improve his form and what really helped keep Zaha quiet - the amount of times he helped double up on Zaha was incredible. Really important player for us defensively. Can't see Djenepo or Boufal offering the same protection to whoever plays at RB. And this is against the best team in Europe / the world right now...makes the decision to weaken our squad this window even more unfathomable | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Like every other team in Europe playing at that northern dump we are going to get our backsides kicked and given a lesson in football. This is one we just have to realise we are going to lose and the main priority is to keep the score line less than 10 against. So stop worrying about who the right back is, if it was Norwich away it would be different. but not the red scum from up north.

Hojolberg, Romeu, with djenepo and Redmond as the number 10’s it picks itself.

The home game v Liverpool this season was very close and I thought we were unlucky not to get a draw.

That's good. Ward-Prowse is the best player we have to fill that position. He did very well against Zaha. Ralph is playing the best starting XI he can. No complaints about that.
