Wrexham (A) - Match ThreadC on 15:17 - Nov 13 by BigKindo | .. but yet again season ticket supporters cannot reserve their seat. If you have to buy a ticket for the main stand it isn't rocket science to keep back season ticket holders seats until say Saturday lunchtime. I know of at least one season ticket holder who will not be attending because of this. Poor customer service. |
I went online and just bought my tickets for the seats I am allocated on my season ticket. Took all of 2 minutes

Very pleased for you,in fact I'm ecstatic, you're my hero. If fans are put off from going whatever their reasons and whether you agree or not it matters not a tap,but the club could do well to perhaps listen to its customers, yeah I know it's a ridiculous half arsed idea by a part time supporter

Nor should anyone have to justify not attending a particular fixture, either to anyone else or to themselves

If anyone at the club really wanted to mess with supporter loyalty, all they'd need to do would be to stop offering STs at less than half price of potd. Those responsible for such decisions must surely know that without this scheme, the average attendances by home supporters would potentially be in freefall

Not at all, James. You should be proud of your support. I just think we’re in the midst of uncertain times, not even totally sure why. Within that there needs to be acceptance that some go to games, some don’t. There can be no assumptions anymore that football fans will turn up and those that don’t needn’t even be saying why. That’s a worry. What’s the answer? It’s certainly not carrying on regardless. The passing of time is something nobody can control. Worth some real thought.

I do think the club should be all over this thread and the attendance thread in terms of gauging fan satisfaction, along with motivating and demotivating factors around attendance. Ignoring this type of feedback whilst launching campaigns trying to boost attendance is like trying to fill a leaking bucket with water. You can't please all of the people all of the time, but disillusioned fans have been voting with their feet for decades. Fix the leaks.

You’d hope the club have contact info gathered from regular supporters to canvass their opinion occasionally so they can form some plans to act on as you say fixing leaks. Here’s a start for them if they’re reading Got a season ticket but missed 10 games this year, why? Had a ST last year/in the past but not this year, why? You buy match tickets semi-regularly , why don’t you get a ST / what would make you go more regularly? You go into the sandy regularly, why? Why don’t you go into the other (more expensive) stands? Are you likely to attend more , less or the same number of home games next season? What 3 things would make you likely to attend more home games? Keeping an eye on online forums or any social media is fine but the club (or any business) needs to take this sort of stuff into perspective and make sure it’s representative of the wider fan /customer base. Assume there are 5000 Dale fans. With ~2700 of those ST holders and the rest the handful of game a season types. 2 people on this forum unhappy with something is 0.04% of the fan base. Maybe people on here are a noisy small minority. Maybe there’s a larger silent minority. It’s up to the club to decide to find out how dis/ satisfied the fan base is on this issue or anything else.
Wrexham (A) - Match Thread on 07:44 - Nov 14 with 1664 views | snuffler | Let’s be honest, the club do things to make money, or in our case try not to lose as much money as they might so closing part of the ground is all about the finances. I am a ST holder and have been for a long time and I would rather sit down these days, some people prefer to stand and I can totally understand that. However seeing as the Sandy is closed for the replay why not try one of the other stands it’s no extra cost compared to POTD. In the sandy and as a one off it might be good. UTD

You've got the wrong end of the stick DN. SL didn't say his seats were reserved, he said he went on-line early and bought the same seats he sits in for his L1 games with his ST. I sit near him and saw he'd reserved them already. The early bird gets the worm!
