Hello all I will be following the game via this thread while I sit on a bench in a town in the Dordogne waiting for a tourist attraction (Templar tower) to open. The guidebook says it is only open by prior arrangement but the sign on the big wooden door says they open from 2.15-5pm every Saturday.
So, two minutes to go. Four other people are waiting and are looking a little confused because three French people have turned up and seem to be giving an impromptu mime performance outside a (closed) pizzeria. They have now finished and have run off down a side street. The four others have also gone now. I don't rate our chances of getting in but if the Rs get three points, then all is good.
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

We visited the Templar temple in Baldock of all places!!
An update: A middle aged biker couple from the Netherlands are now also waiting but the door remains firmly locked. Oh, and the mime artists will be back at some point because I found their props dumped behind the tower.
I hope the game is more exciting than this.

We don't do well at Millwall. One of our bad grounds. But... depends if we go into this game as we have against some others away and just go for it. If we do we may well change our luck. Any sitting back and we may not. If Wall play big Matt I do fear for us a little as he is just bound to score against us.
Would be happy with a point. Delighted with 3 and not too surprised or down if we get none.

If it's in France, the default is it will be closed when you turn up.
Odysseus Alfa is a very promising U23 striker. Only 20. Real pace, fast feet and a really good finisher. Think small version of Rashford. Big big potential for us.
His brother Romeo is pretty decent but has a tendency to break down.
The team selected is brimming with brutal attacking intent. I wouldn’t mind seeing that lot positioned in the Gulf as a deterrent to local agitators: f..k with global oil supplies, and we’ll let these lot loose...and they’ve bloody the Chinese don’t you know!
A relentless all action display, reducing the locals to tears of appreciation. Possession and shots stats skewed heavily to the Rangers.
1-1 then!

So true. We gave up.
Still, it was not as bad as the time we drove for over an hour to get to a French grotte, a journey which included going over a 1300m pass, only to find a handwritten note in the glass information case saying: "Closed for holidays, back in a week ".
I tucked my own handwritten note inside the case, saying, in French, that it might have been nice if they have bothered to share that information via their website....
