It's not a case of rewarding, it's a case of getting some stability in the team.
He's made 30 odd changes now since he's been here. It's beyond time to decide on his best team and let them have a run of games to try and get a bit of continuity rather than choppy and changing every game. |  | | |

Better shape on the team with Siggy behind Llorente. Naughton had a mare against Spurs but I wouldn't have dropped him. I would also put Kingsley in ahead of Taylor but I presume he's injured if he's not on the bench. |  |

I can see Mawson having his hands full today, because if I was Moyes I would be telling Defoe to target Rangel's area of the field.
Which means as Rangel is never going to cope with Defoes speed and trickery it will be down to Mawson to try and stop Defoe.
That is going to be a very difficult job.
We also haven't got anybody to handle Anichebe's 6' 3", they would have been VDH.
Baston is either kicking up some kind of fuss or may not even be at the club if the Transfer rumours are true, otherwise it is madness for him not to be on the bench. | | | |

I initially get frustrated every time I see Routledge starting, but, as much as I rate Montero more, I do believe that Montero is very effective as an impact sub purely down to his acceleration and willingness to take tiring defenders on. This however only applies if he is given at least 30 mins, and not the ceremonial 5-10 he often gets. | | | |

Said as I saw the team sheet that I was happy. It's pretty close to what I would have picked, given the chance.
I was surprised he put Leon in instead of Fer but it worked out well.
I mainly wanted Fer dropped for Llorente and Siggy pushed back in the hole. I was also happy he picked Amat and Mawson because it was the one partnership I thought would be best and hadn't seen yet.
EDIT - Despite everyone knocking Routs, I would have started him too. And brought Montero/Barrow on as an impact sub depending on who started. [Post edited 10 Dec 2016 17:46]
