Or to put it another way, most footballers are crap, many go on to earn a living playing the game, others don't.
Professional Football Clubs employ around 5000 players, this group is distilled from a group that ranks in the many, many millions.

I always feel Sheron gets a more raw deal than he deserves. His record of 20 goals in 69 games isn't bad. I think we would grab a "goal every 3 games or so" striker with both hands now. |
Fair point, but I remember a game (vs Wolves I think) when he missed a wide open goal then had a go at the crowd when they berated him for it. |  |
