Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.

Fair enough!

What does my swede is doing nothing when it's obvious we need to change. If it fails then put it down to experience.

Chucking Montero on at the death and hoping for the best isn't in the best long-term interests of anyone, Monk included.

As uplifting as the first half was, I agree with Phil that we should have switched things round quicker.

As soon as half time came, you just knew that Brendan was going to change things around.

I would have started the second half with Montero and Routledge on the flanks with Gomis in front of Siggy in the hole.

That would have fecked Brendan's halftime team talk.

"Diamonds are forever" fecking Bassey song

Mind you, that first half... Tempo, purpose and determination despite "ample arse" leading the line. Loved it.

It's just the internet, init.

Why is it that some PlanetSwans posters have to insult anyone who disagrees with them? [Rhetorical question because I really do know.]

Do I insult you because you can't see his glaring flaws? Do I "question your faculties" because you think he was "one of the best players on the pitch last night"? No, but I do chuckle when I read opinions which fly in the face of reality.

I can't remember a single instance yesterday of him "winning back possession" at all -- let alone as many times as he lost it.

More than once on here I have given purely factual reasons for my opinion [waste of time for some], and not simply exaggerated unsupported opinions.

thats because your a no nothing c nt

No insults from me Dav but Shelvey was immense yesterday and he did win several balls back.

In my opinion of course.

About half a dozen clear interventions to regain the ball after someone else had lost it. he was ace last night; at his very best. Always made time and space to play. If he keeps that up, with his goal threat, he'd be undroppable.

You thought that was insulting? People who frequent internet message boards usually have thicker skin than that.

You are blind when it comes to Shelvey, whereas I have in this thread acknowledged his deficiencies. As others have pointed out, he won back possession multiple times. I saw it with my own eyes from my seat in the stands. If you didn't see it, your tv coverage was weird, you're partially sighted or so biased you literally can't acknowledge when JJS does something good.

Mind you, you didn't think his goal last season against Villa was any good. You seem a decent guy, but you're embarrassing yourself here.

You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don't help.

Shelvey had a decent game last night.

Even when he's not at his best however he's still someone who tries to make stuff happen. When a lot of his team mates are terrified of taking the ball on themselves or continually take the "safe" option that's not something to be derided.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I thought JJS was good. He s one of the few who looks to shoot, compare this to routledge who seems to want to walk it into the net. Sorry wayne.

NO, LOOKS LIKE HE MIGHT HAVE GRWON UP SOMEWHAT AND IS DEVELOPING.

This lad can play and when his head gets right - as it might- he ll be some player
