From what I recall it was all done through a proper design agency, just so happened the guy that put it together was a Chelsea fan.
TBH, fair play to him for being professional about it, if I was asked to design a Chelsea badge it would look more like the baboon's arse above!

I'd be up for a completely new badge. I loved the last one at the time, don't like the new one much, but looking bad at the previous one, it does look a little dated.
Always keen to stick to our heritage where we can, so any new design would have to have the Q, P and R linked together, mention 1882, be primarily blue and white and ideally have hoops. The "Loftus Road" bit might have to go with an eye to the future, but I'd be fine with London/West London
Other than that, knock yourself out. Would be a nice touch to put it to a fan vote, with 5-6 choices - 2 by designers (lets face it, that's what the club wants) and 3-4 by fans. |  | | |

To be honest, whatever one they pick will piss off some people.
Looking at that, the latest crest is probably the best looking - artistically speaking - although I prefer the previous one of course. But would I want the previous one now? Maybe. I dunno.
I think a modern badge wouldn't be a bad thing. People get so hung up on the past and our past is mostly shit so who gives a toss? |

I just did a quick one on one survey with my 3 kids aged 6,12,13, as you do, and they all picked our last badge from the 80's/90's.
I like that one too.
I know my oldest lad actually likes our latest one, but i think he was was worried what i would say to him... or he was just humoring his sad boring old dad.
I think we need a new badge. Our latest one just reminds me of Briatore.

Personally, I like the 1975 badge. Maybe move the lettering a bit to the left, so it's synchronised and add something like LONDON & 1882 in the empty top and bottom panels.
Was walking past the ground the other night and thought, stylistically, it would look very good and trendy where the current logos are.
Add to that retro, 7 hooped shirts with Dennis the menace back as our away shirt, could look good.
Also be nice, potentially, having Clement as boss and the home kits looking a bit like they did in his dads day.

To me the current badge is an embarrassment & should be changed as soon as possible, it seemed to be introduced quickly enough so don't see why it can't be replaced quickly at the end of this season & ready for the next one?
