The Official Southampton v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 17:59 - Feb 1 by FearOfAJackPlanet | Perfect away performance.... Made more satisfying given that it was Southampton we beat; they've become a little insufferable this season, telling anyone who'll listen how utterly amazing they are. 'ave that, ya c*nts. |
Indeed. Perfect analysis. Graveyard for us so often too. 'ave it.

So me and Builth called it right then It would be churlish to criticise anyone after that, loved how they all rushed back, even Bafe, to defend a corner near the end. Take a bow gentlemen, so many positives to take from this game. Just hope Marvin and Barrow are ok.

Fantastic strike JJ at his best, very unlucky with his strike that hit the post as well.

My sincere condolences, it's a hell of a wrench. As for Swans, I think we rode our luck a bit esp first half but that was a tactical masterpiece from Monk. Don't know what's happened to Dyer though but who cares after a result like that.

Even Naughton did ok. With a depleted side, that was one hell of a win. There I feel better after Southampton robbed us earlier in the season 👠

The Official Southampton v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 17:56 - Feb 1 by Neath_Jack | That's why we have to find a place for Jonjo in the starting 11. We've got some plebs following us aye. |
Davillin was unavailable for comment. We owed them that. Nice to be the muggers rather than the mugged for a change.
The Official Southampton v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 18:40 - Feb 1 with 1706 views | ryco | Congrats chaps, set up well and got a great 3 points. The difference was when we took Reed off, and let you run at us, cracking strike too! if only we had a midfielder who could shoot... I hope Barrow is alright too.
The Official Southampton v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 18:48 - Feb 1 with 1658 views | jackonicko | That was a very nervy first 45, but started to look a little more like our old selves in the second. A decent strike from JJS, after being unlucky with the effort that hit the post. Made up for an undisciplined first half by a huge margin! Really pleased with Naughton. New to the squad, and I expect he spent most of the week in training working with Dyer ahead of him, knowing that Routledge was out. 15 mins in; all change. But he did a very decent job with Barrow and looks like a solid addition to the back 4. Thought Gomis did well with little service too. But full credit to Monk. A shaky first half for sure, but stuck to the game plan and we looked much the better for it in the second half. I was crossing my fingers to sneak a win at about the 60 minute mark and so it came to pass. This is a huge win - 33 points on the board and now over 4 wins clear of the bottom 3 - with just 15 games left to play. GM deserves the brick bats at times, but today he deserves the bouquets. Job well and truly done.
