Orlandi did show he could play at prem level and did well for us when fit!
I wouldn't have been distraught if we gave him a one year deal if only to try and help bring on the u 21 team, with a view to covering midfield injuries for the first team.
This is the first piece I've read RE laudrup from somebody who I feel doesn't have an agenda , his words about laudrup being a disappointment as a coach is insightful especially as laudrup is so highly thought of amongst the Spanish people.
I've always maintained that no coach who comes to Swansea will ever be the complete product, they will all have flaws that need straigtning out, some will be prepared to iron them out more than others maybe.
The shame for me is that the axis of laudrup and his ability to find a player for decent money coupled with the work ethic of monk could have been something special for SCFC .
Obviously that is easier said than done !
We now need to pay full market value for players and this has perhaps meant a change in approach in terms of the club now needing to consider outside investment to keep ahead of the curve .
I wish orlandi well, could have been a lovely player if he could've stayed fit .
