Earlier Jeff Stelling said we are the only Premier League club where Roy has not attended a game. Le Tissier, Merson and Nicholas were somewhat surprised given JJS, Dyer and Routs. Merson, in particular was vocal in saying Dyer should be given a chance. Given the events of this afternoon what are the chances of Roy finding his way here? Reminds me a bit of England cricket selectors in 1990s with Glamorgan and Gloucs players.

The only alternative to the spectacle is the spectacle of the alternative.

As I said, compared to who?

What other wingers do England possess that are better?

Off top of head, sterling, ox chamberlain, Walcott, probably Milner.

I'm sure there's more. Will have a think

Yeah, I said the same thing. When on form, there aren't any significantly better English players.

Delph and Colback are hardly head turners. And no England manager could play Lampard and Gerrard together successfully. Maybe because they didn't try anything different?
These are so called experts, they won't even try different things. Maybe it is ghe pressure. Fear of failure, which becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

I thought we were talking wingers?

Delph isn't a winger but is a very good footballer that would slot straight in with us

Fair enough.

I admit to probably being overly harsh to our wingers. The amount of ball they get I feel they should do so much better.

To be fair to dyer he's scored a few goals which on stats rams that down my throat. The amount of times the guy makes me pull my hair out is ridiculous.

I just don't think he's international standard.

Dyer's problem has always been the end product. If he can carry on his form so far this season, it's a big ask, then I'd put him in ahead of all the names mentioned apart from maybe a fit Theo Walcott.

He needs to keep doing it more consistently and then Hodgson would find it difficult to ignore him.

I don't think Shelvey should be in there on current form and Routledge's journeyman tag might be a stumbling block for him.A consistent Dyer though could yet still play for England.

the more the saes selectors stay way from our part of south wales the better.

we haven't done too badly thus far from the ignorance that emanates from them, so im not complaining

They don't suit the team, with all that keeping the ball, and passing it to one another malarkey.
