I am fed up with repeating myself. CEDRIC IS A LIABILITY. Another cross not dealt with, another goal conceded and more important another two and possibly three points lost. Time after time this happens and at the end of the season, we will need every point. If he cannot defend crosses then he is useless and tho' he is a moderate player he hasn't the stature for the job required.

DROP CEDRIC FOR THE WHOLE SEASON.

Hmm, not looking good is it? Stupid defensive errors lead directly to the 2 goals. As he often is, Cedric got caught having to deal with an arial ball that the CBs or goalie should have dealt with. Then Vestgergaard seemed just swing at the winning shot, but Maguire should have been closed down long before he shot. You give up those kind of goals, you're going to lose. But the defence looked shaky all afternoon in any case--even McCarthy was problematical. Vestergaard was not great by any means but he had the excuse of having had to cover up for Hoedt's many shortcomings. (Am I alone in wondering why neither the immensely experienced Yoshida nor the immature but immensely talented Bednarek is preferred to Hoedt, the weakest link?) For the rest of the team, I suppose it wasn't too bad given our current level. But goals are obviously going to be just as scarce this yea as last (and therefore points will be scarce too). Only Ings is ever going to score, Redmond had a pretty good game (I never say that!), Elyounoussi was mostly invisible, Lemina would have been my MOM except for Berty's fabulous goal, Hojberg will rue this day, and Long should be put out of his footballing misery as soon as poss.

Ace, most of our squad are an expensive liability. Vestergaard's ability with his feet is even worse than Cedric's ability with his head, and he was responsible for failing to block the 2nd Leicester goal, but as Vestergaard is the latest big buy, he gets cut the slack. Bertrand is probably the only player we've got left who'd be good enough for a top 10 Premier League team. Most of the others wouldn't even shine in the Championship. We are this year's Bolton/Sunderland/Stoke, a club which has been expensively mismanaged, with all of our best players sold and all the money fittered away on medicocre replacements.

Strikes me as the same results as last season just slightly more pleasant to watch. Redmond looks better but agree he petered out, Ings is trying too hard. Stephens and Yoshida still making mistakes that cost us. Oh no they didn't play.

Fully agree with points made regarding the defence, and especially Cedric who has never won me over. But for an hour, going forward, that was as good as I've seen since I don't know when. MH cannot be held responsible for the fact that we didn't go in at half time one or two up and played the team that I suspect most of us would want - excepting Hoedt ( there is no realistic replacement for Cadric at present).

A really bright first half with lots of intensity, hussling Leicester into mistakes and creating some good moves which just lacked a finish. Bertrand and Redmond finally seem to be starting to link well down the left. Deserved to lead at half time but the big Leicester centre backs were pretty solid and although there were loads of corners, we never looked like getting on the end of them. Leicester stepped it up in the second half but we still played well and then we scored... a cracking strike from the skipper but then it was a sudden change from attack to nervous jittery defending... AGAIN. The equaliser within five minutes was inevitable. Hojberg was unlucky with the first booking and, I believe with the second. He seemed to genuinely lose balance on his way through but then threw himself down. If it was a dive, the club should ban him for being a prat knowing that Moss is always looking for an excuse. God knows what happened with Maguire's goal. A catalogue of mistakes and bad luck. But did Moss add extra time to the added time after they spent more than a minute celebrating? Did he buggery. He managed to add it at Everton last season but by my watch there should have been another 40 seconds after the free-kick at the end. Two weeks running we've been denied the opportunity to take a corner at the death. Disappointing result but an entertaining game and Saints played some lovely stuff in the first half so not all doom and gloom. But, by Christ, we have to learn how to hold onto a lead.

Not linked to yesterday's day, but just noticed that Fulham are turning over Burnley. Burnley one point so far this season, against.........,away from home......... and yet after our game against them the consensus was that they had more competitive games than us thus they were sharper.......?! We're in big trouble already!!!!
