Good first half like the formation. with a bit of luck could have won this, but poor defending by rio for their goal cost us and he had great chance to score second half....felt simpson could have come off earlier he seemed reluctant to take anyone on... barton corners and freek kicks not great. AF first half good second half tired...felt for Charlie worked his socks off chased down their goalie and put insome assists...his run up for the penalty gave the goalee a good idea of which way he was going to it it and far too soft. He will score goals in the Prem. REmy must stay to give us a chance of staying up best player on the pitch when he had the ball...

Great to see Morgan playing with so much passion, really unlucky not to equalise in a game which, if there was any justice, we should have won. Strikers a problem still not convinced by Long or Pelle. Hope JRod is mending well and his head is in the right place.

We grew as the game did. Positives - best game i've seen Wanyama play, he was immense. Tadic looked lively and will get better. Good to see Morgan start. Negatives - Pelle looks a yard or two off the pace and whilst hes a handful in the box he didn't hold the ball up or run the channels that effectively meaning we looked blunt at times. Clynes error for the first, although he made up for it with his goal. Our failure to capitalise when were on top and had Liverpool on the ropes - Davies being the obvious culprit here.

On the whole, decent display, poor result, reason to be optimistic.
