Dembele Set To Accept FA Charge But Contest Length Of Ban Friday, 6th May 2016 14:05 After the FA indicated that it thought that it's standard three game ban for Violent Conduct might not be sufficient in this case, Tottenham's Mousa Dembele will contest anything in excess. Latest news on Mousa Dembele is that he will accept the charge of violent conduct against him but will contest the ban if it exceeds more than the usual three games. Where that leaves him with regard to facing Saints on Sunday is unclear at the time of writing, under normal circumstances he would accept the charge and be banned immediately, but if he is going to appeal it is unclear when that appeal will take place and whether that would mean that he would in the meantime be clear to play till the appeal was heard, or whether he will start the ban and then have the hearing perhaps in the next week or so. All in all another case of a so called big time club and player trying to blackmail the FA wih regard to the punishment and put pressure on them to not make it a 10 or 11 games ban as has been the case in the past for using violent behaviour such as this. Far classier would have been to let justice take its course and then seen what the verdict was and consider an appeal then, rather than this petty mind games that the player and for that matter his club are playing for a player who has admitted that he is in the wrong.
