Sat through 90+ mins of pure dross, left in annoyance when Bannon scored ….d’oh!! We just were not at it today. |

Other than Exe, obviously, who was the last one of our senior players who left and went on to bigger and better things? |

Crazy money and will raise the going rate for 13 Champo goals. Too rich for our blood Hopefully fans think about that before they slate our free/cheap forwards for being ‘pony’ after 3-4 games. We need to buy cheap and give them time to develop |

I think there is a player there but needs time. from what i undersand Dembele struggled after he left celtic too and a run of games at Blackpool second half of last season was where he found his way… Suspect Celar and Varane will need the same patience. Movement, quick feet and awareness looks ok to me though |

Did Dykes not sign an extension last year, without which he have been a free agent this summer? He could have easily run down his contract a la Willock Something is better than nothing and I mark Lyndon as being ok and wish him well if he does go. |

Seeing the prices being paid for Center Backs at the lower end of Prem I am surprised JCS has not moved on to balance the books. We are at the height of his value and much though I like him it would have made sense I guess we have a week and it may still happen as when you read Brentford paying 20m quid for Van Den Berg (who was on loan at Preston I think? )Then 10m for JCS not beyond the realm. |

I hope he plays on, i make good money on betting on him each week to get a YC . Was 5/1 today after he came on…it’s basically free money. Seriously, think he is an asset and today was clear that we need him this year while Varane gets used to the champo….Don’t be an idiot and get a red though! |

We have a good record with Blackpool wingers and if the other lad really is the second coming of Mitoma that youtube makes him to be we should do alright. Welcome!!! |

Feel for them having to struggle along with Gilchrist, Souttar and Ahmedhodžić at the back. :-) Does put into perspective the task we face to push on. We are not there yet but Coventry the model for how we need to go. Hope they can break the parachute cartel this season |

1-1 . A slow and steady start I do also hope there is no aggro about. Got a dread feeling that right wing wrong uns will use football to further stir up this nonsense. Hope i am wrong. |

I am very envious of anyone living in that part of the world! - great wine drinking and value Climate change is having a huge impact on regions and producers and driving change. Bordeaux is a great example, allowing new varietals that are later ripening into their blends to counteract the alcohol rise in merlot.- New varietals and root stock , charges in growing methods with greater biodiversity on vineyards for shade, and cooler exposures all to mitigate effects but it will be an ongoing challenge and producers/AOPs need to move quicker to adapt. Conversely England is one of the regions that benefits from climate change with conditions now replicating the Champagne region and French producers like Tattinger and Pommery investing big in Kent and Sussex. At the moment it is a sparkling dominated market ( about 70%) and some excellent wines. Still wine can still be a bit variable but that will change and over the next few years I think you will get some really interesting chardonnay and pinot noir being made ..Kent the new Burgundy!? Cheers |

Finally a thread i know something about as a Sommelier ( sounds a bit Fulham!) This is one of the great wines of Jura and a unique wine. It is a little like a fino sherry as it is fermented under a thin film of yeast so you get a dry wine with a full mouthfeel and an often nutty finish. A unique drop.. also great to cook with if you like that kind of thing It is Not really an orange wine - think of those as white wines made like a red where the grapes are left in contact with their skins for days, weeks or even months- dead trendy these days and some exceptional wines . Salut! |
