Still, I’ll bet they’re slim. We had a line of Freys mates sitting next to us for a few months last season. Massive buggers and when we turned up 3 minutes before kick off and shoo’d them along, out of our seats (every fckin match), given the restrictive nature of our archaic ground, there’d nearly always end up with one sitting on someone’s lap . If we keep shopping in the Korean market I reckon we’ll be able to accommodate gates of 20,000 without any ground modifications. |

Any kit worn that looks piss weak gets beat. How many successful sides wear pink? |

11 points clear with 16 games to go and slowly building towards 25/26. That’ll do for now. |

5th and 6th up for grabs, we might even be playing against Jimmy in the play offs! Onwards and upwards. |
| Forum Reply | Dunne off? at 13:21 31 Jan 2025
I’d hate to see Jimmy go but I could understand if we push Sheffield hard on price as they’re desperate for a Soutar replacement and the difference in Sky money if they don’t go up is surely worth a few million of their present finances. I would think we’d persevere with Ashby at RB with the option of the Southampton lad playing in that position if needed. 8 points from relegation salvation or at least 34 points away from the play offs suggests muddling through for another 3 months is perfectly manageable. |

The fact teams like Chelsea get away with a relative slap on the wrist whilst the football authorities were so laid back about fining QPR £42 million is quite mind numbing. You’d think the media might question what’s going on in relation to our punishment but nobody ever does. |

Never understood why Redknapp didn’t just go out on a high after Derby final, not like he’s short of money. Regards Parker, the footballs unwatchable, but both Bournemouth and Fulham against the odds have managed to convert themselves into established Premier League sides. Maybe a season of anti football is the way forward? |
| Forum Reply | Abuse in modern football at 22:40 27 Jan 2025
Fan abuse at games was far worse 25-50 years ago than it is today. Social media has just re channeled it from abuse that disappeared into the ether to actual prose that is there for all to read and regurgitate. Make the break from social media and the abused will find they’re actually living in a far kinder world. |
| Forum Reply | Chair - positional change at 13:44 27 Jan 2025
Get the feeling he’s welded himself into that wide position and is reluctant to play central, hard to understand why, but if ever he had ambition to play at a higher level he’s killing it fast. Wonder if he’s not been that ambitious and content with being the best player in a bottom half side. |
| Forum Reply | Owls not impressed with the school end at 08:18 27 Jan 2025
Absolutely. We need to hear more criticism from away supporters, perhaps their own clubs could make a statement on their fans behalf too. The owners have consistently ignored their own fans, largely getting away on the grounds of it being old school and a proper ground etc but let’s be honest, it’s a dump compared with practically every other London ground, whether they’ve sniffed the Premier or not. I’m sure I’m not the only one with toes like a boxers knuckles, crammed into shit seats, knowing I’ll always turn up and basically get taken for granted. It’s not good enough and whilst they know it, they don’t lift a finger to do anything about it. |

I remember losing 3-0 at Palace in the relegation season and their fans had a chuckle when our end sang ‘we’re the Rangers, the mighty Rangers, we never win away..’ |

There should be a minimum release clause particularly if it can pay for something bigger faster and turns defenders. Until we have a few more attackers who can run in behind defences they’ll be plenty more Sheffield Wednesdays doing a job on us. |
| Forum Reply | Oh well. at 22:21 25 Jan 2025
One win all season against top ten sides tells its own story. Wednesday dictated the pattern of the game from start to finish. Very good side, well managed, probably only a centre forward away from being a top six side. Disciplined physicality and pace is the name of the game these days, we’re getting there but the left side is a concern. |

The clubs doing shirts tomorrow with Koki’s name on the back… in Japanese. |
| Forum Reply | Our crowds these days compared to years gone by.... at 14:52 24 Jan 2025
The fall in crowds across the leagues was largely due to hooliganism, culminating in the 5 year ban from Europe after the excursions of that scum from the North West. What seemed like an initial bit of fun in the early 70’s, getting in and out without taking a right hander, had worn thin by the mid 80’s. Hillsborough was the turning point and the cleaning up of football led to our Sky overlords. In fairness to them, they’ve changed the game from a spectating view, crowds massively up across all football so despite the ludicrous kick off times, we should acknowledge that particular achievement. |

Apparently there’s a yellow snow threat. I’m sure it’ll look nice but, whatever you do, don’t eat it. |

We’ve a good honest bunch of lads here now, trust the upper echelons won’t let this clown anywhere near our place again. |
