Blimey Forty years ago today around 500 of us traipsed up to York for the LC 1st leg (what was the point of those 2 legged rounds) to see us win 2 4. A notable night as it was our first glimpse of York forward, John Byrne! He impressed in both games and the rest is history.
Anyone ever listen to these? They're football based and do throw up the occasional interesting guest. A recent episode had Terry Cinzano so I gave it a go for the Rangers angle. Thousands of games / grounds attended, well done, not missed a Rangers home game since 73, well done but I had to give up about 20 mins in during a drawn out tale relating to Reykjavik away in 84/85. Can anyone who has heard the whole thing please precis? Is it worth revisiting? As an aside, can anyone comment on the validity of his oft told Iceland story? Has he really not missed a home game in 50 years?

Sky have made their picks for that weekend today and we don't feature, hurrah! HOWEVER, they've only done a Friday and Sunday game so not sure if there's a Saturday 1230 to come or if Sunday replaces that.

Heads up, train tickets are now available to book for May 7. Given this is the one round of games Sky don't PBA with, booking transport / hotels SHOULD be pretty safe, Well, as safe as they can be with Sky involved. I have a vague recollection that in recent times a round of Game#46 were moved from one day in the weekend to another but don't recall the circumstances. Of course, this may have little or nothing riding on it but for those that are going anyway, the trains are there to book.
