More of a self-help group for the dangerously addicted, I'd say |

Worth trying. We've already been roasted, creamed, beaten, whipped...though not yet whisked, if memory serves. If you're not of a nervous disposition (!), the game is live on Radio London |

JCS (Wensleydale): Excellent but apt to crumble. Andersen (Cottage cheese): Liked by some but suffers from a lack of consistency. |

If winter is the only season of the year in which we are going to be discontent, that's hugely positive and simply wonderful news I was expecting spring to be as utterly miserable as this autumn has been. Ah, there's my taxi now |

My theory is that some coaches don't coach "the basics" because they and/or the players find it boring and/or beneath them. Goodness knows, our lot could do with some intensive shooting practice, though. Our finishing is more comical than clinical . |

So yet again, we face a massive 45 minutes which could have huge repercussions. This is getting so tiresome, on and on it goes, an endless successions of changes and false dawns. It's exhausting. |

Please endulge me while I desperately clutch at some straws here. If Field and Varane can play together in central midfield, at least that might give us a stronger spine. Goodness knows how we actually score a goal, though. Our - cough - attacking players pose so little threat. Perhaps, as others have said, one of our big units can bundle the ball in from a set piece. Let's hope *this* is the game when one or more of our underperforming heroes really step up. Please.. |

According to posters in a prog rock group I belong to on Facebook, Robert Fripp has died in the last few weeks. About six times! He hasn't died, by the way, thankfully. |

Art: I thought it was dull but now, I love certain styles. On a recent holiday, I even arranged for Mrs R from Afar and I to visit *three* art galleries, without being coerced. Living without playing football: I thought I'd feel bereft when I gave up playing football, at the age of 58, but rekindling my love of table tennis 🏓 has more than filled the void. I'm playing three times a week, I've got coaching videos coming out of my ears, and I'll happily sit and watch proper matches in their entirety. Beetroot (and radishes and coleslaw): I never could stand them - I used to refer to coleslaw as the Devil's toenails - but I have now embraced them all. Messy haha. I'm not sure I'll ever change my mind about bread and butter pudding, though, Philistine that I am. Some art, by John William Waterhouse. |
