I thought Santos matched Miller for pace, surprisingly for me. I don't remember Miller beating him on the outside and getting a cross in, when he threatened to Santos got a foot in the way and knocked it out for a corner. I expect Marti kept him on there because Dunne would have been more exposed by Miller's pace and cleverness. Haven't seen much of Ashby yet but didn't see the pace Santos showed Saturday. Miller did enough damage when he cut inside but this was as you say partly due to missing defensive support from Dembele, Andersen, Smyth, Field or Madsen. |

OLondon World quote Marti saying JCS has a recurrence of a soleus muscle injury and won't be available for Derby. He hopes but is not sure of having him back after the International break. |

Miller looked the best attacking player on the pitch and Santos had a tough evening, but to his credit he matched Miller for pace and stopped him a few times. Dunne playing RB would have been in more trouble I suspect. |

Agreed and when Chair is back expect to see him the most central of a 3 with Saito to his left and Dembele right, but inter-changing. |

I heard Marti answer questions on what new signings we were going to make during the last window, and his replies were always the same that the Club knew very well what he wanted. So for me it was clear that he was well involved in deciding what sort and who all the new signings were going to be, and the outgoings come to that, along with Nouri and the Recruitment department. |

To take a 1-0 lead into the break? I'd like to see more runs like that from our midfield without the lunge at the end of course. Thought a yellow would have been more than adequate punishment, especially seeing Dolan's worse tackle near the end punished only with a yellow. |

Yes, I thought that late tackle by Dolan for which he got a yellow was a worse tackle than Varane's which got him sent off. Then that Referee also disallowed Smith's goal which looked good to me. Bad homer Ref or just my bias, I'm not sure. I also thought Varane had done quite well in what I think was his first League start. |

Nardi is making many great saves, the 4 in a row yesterday were brilliant. His distribution has been ok too. I agree he does seem to parry a number of shots back into dangerous areas, but better that than allowing them to go in our goal! He's been an adequate replacement for Begovic so far and in Walsh we have another good Keeper to give him competition. |

On that form on the Offficial you need to fill in if you want to go there, it asks what is your question for the "panel", which suggests it is not going to be only CN. |

20th I'd guess. Won't be surprised to see Chair, if he returns from injury, and JCS sold in January, and Marti to move on during the season or next summer. |

Not WLS but something else that's gone missing for over a month now I think is the Official's QPR Report. They were all a bit too bland imo, but did give some interesting background information. |

Yes and he did a few good things including coming very close to scoring early on. Gave the ball away a couple of times too. Had a mixed game overall imo. |

Well just a week or two ago they had one of their podcast things which they concluded by promising to be back soon. They haven't and our games with Palace and Walll have come and gone without any mention. No injury news, no team news, no match report, no manager interview, no player rating, no nothing. Prior to this they were doing all of this again. |
