I think a large number of us, had lost patience with him earlier this season! Unreal transformation, looks so dangerous every game now, we’re now seeing the player we wanted him to be! |
| Forum Reply | Kieran Morgan - Looks So Comfortable. at 22:08 1 Jan 2025
Very astute signing, looks a tremendous prospect, a midfield 3 with him slightly ahead of the other two definitely seems to get us higher up the pitch and quicker, also think Varane has some great passing ability, some great balls to Smyth from the pair of them today! |

I didn’t actually say he was bad today, but i do think we can do a lot better. And I travel down every home game, Season Tickets Bl and Paal plays directly in front of me most weeks, so I do have a good view of what he does, his performance today was better than most weeks, the whole team played well, on a points basis he’s a 6 to 6 1/2, that should be a decent average not a good game. The goal wasn’t his fault, we got exposed losing the ball high up the pitch, Paal, was left 1 on 1 with Baah, he could have closed Baah down quicker, instead of backing off, the result may well have been the same, we will Know? |
| Forum Reply | Sorry Paal at 17:51 1 Jan 2025
Sorry, but he is still a weak link for us. Both Chair and Saito helped him out massively today, he is so often out of position, far to close to Fox today for several of the Watford attacks leaving so much space for Baah to run at, also not closing players down before the cross comes in. A few people saying he’s the best LB we have, he is, but we do need to move him on and get someone in. |

Just back home, brilliant performance today from the whole team, as mentioned by many, difficult to pick MoM, for me Dunne just shaded it from Smyth. Great to see Frey start today, he showed us what we have missed for so much of the season, constantly harassing and bullying defenders, and took his goal really well. Also have to give a shout out to Varane, Morgan, Ashby, thought they all had great games today. Cmon U Rs |
| Forum Reply | How have things changed so drastically in last ten games at 17:24 1 Jan 2025
Slight change in tactics and new players getting up to the physicality and nature of the championship. The midfield three today gives us a solid formation and the opportunity to break forward quickly, also the form of Smyth is a real positive. |

A great point today, not a great display but we move on. Thought Fox and Dunne did very well at the back today. A little lucky but who cares another point towards safety |
| Forum Reply | Paal at 14:11 27 Dec 2024
He was rightly taken off at half time, honestly, he was awful yesterday, we have to get a left back in January, I do like Ashby and he improved us yesterday when he came on, but having a naturally left sided player, could be the Difference between staying up and relegation. Cmon U Rsss |
| Forum Reply | Sorry Paal at 13:56 27 Dec 2024
I’ve been saying the same and raised it on here a few weeks ago, every time he plays we look so weak on that side and concede so easily, Ashby has been pretty solid and is a far better option for us on the left. It was noticeable how much we improved in the second half after he was hooked off. Due to both JCS and Fox lack of match fitness, we should have shifted Dunne to a back 3 with Smyth and Ashby as Wing Backs. Hindsight is always a better view! Hopefully Morrison will be back Saturday, him and JCS in the middle is likely to be the best two, until Cooke returns? Cmon U Rs |
| Forum Reply | Jimmy Dunne at 21:55 21 Dec 2024
Superb again today and fully deserved his goal, unlucky earlier in the game, decent save from their keeper early in the first half. Offers so much for us going forward, him and Smyth are also working well together on the right. |

Agree with most of this, Morgan, Morrison, Varane, Saito, and Nardi, are all showing signs of being very good recruitment, add Kolli and Lloyd, we have some really promising young players, with Dembele to come back, we could be seeing some good football. Great support and atmosphere today, and a well deserved win. MoM for me was marginally Varane, close between him, Morgan, Smyth and Dunne, also worth mentioning Morrison, switched sides and played with 3 different partners and didn’t put a foot wrong . |
| Forum Reply | Smyth. at 21:29 21 Dec 2024
Playing very well at the moment and becoming a real threat for against any opposition, very unlucky not to score again today, but provided a great assist for Kolli, links up very well with Dunne also. |

Great performance today from the whole team, midfield 3 completely dominated, with Varane my MoM. Great support and atmosphere and a well deserved 3 points. What a difference 6 weeks make, 5th in the form table and 14th in the standings. Players coming back from injuries for the busy Christmas period, all of a sudden we have reasons to be cheerful. Merry Christmas Cmon you Rs |

A very good performance to get a point, agree very passive in the first half and struggled to get out of own half. Better in the second half mixing between playing out and lumping it long. Great goal from Smyth, he does get lots of pesters for his lack of quality and end product, but that was a sublime finish today! We are defending much better as a team and becoming hard to beat. Plus a few now chipping in with goals. A weeks rest now until Preston, hopefully a better performance to give us some festive cheer! CMYRs |

Had an indifferent start to the season, but has picked up the physicality and pace of the league, a very good acquisition. He looks like a good player, calm, composed and confident with the ball. Both him and Morrison are a large part of our turnaround in form. |
| Forum Thread | Paal at 12:57 8 Dec 2024
Lots of player thread’s around so I though I would get a few opinions on Paal. For me he has regressed since last season and is a weak link, he often plays himself or others into trouble During the transition phase with loose passes. His distribution is quite poor, and he is often out of position or leaves huge gaps for wingers or full backs to run into, Morrison seems to cover for him a lot. Although young, Ashby offers more for me? Thoughts. Cmon U Rssss |

A brilliant performance today, given the circumstances. You won’t see many better tackles than his today, we were looking across the pitch and thought Saiinz was through, unbelievable recovery and tackle. He may not be the most gifted player, but you can never question his commitment to the cause. My grandson’s favourite player, a top man! Cmon u rssss |

Unbelievable performance and result, well deserved. Performances have been improving over the last few weeks and confidence growing. Kolli MoM for me just shading Dunne who was superb today. Big shout outs to Saito, Morrison, Morgan, Varane, cook and Ashby, looking like a half decent team now. Not sure where we go when some of the injured players come back, apart from JCS, Frey and Dembele, will anyone else improve us. On a side note, got a haircut today with the Barbers against Prostate Cancer, got chatting to Sam Field (top man) he told us we would win 3-0, can’t believe I didn’t put a bet on 😂 Cmon U Rssss |
| Forum Reply | Morrison, anyone notice? at 19:30 30 Nov 2024
Looks like a good player to me, very calm and assured on the ball and has a decent passing ability. He’s been well schooled at Bayern, can see him and JCS as the two in the centre of a four. Our summer signings are starting to get used too the pace and physicality of this league. Hopefully we can keep improving and get ourselves into a better league position. If today’s performance is anything to go on, better results are coming. Cmon U Rssss |
