| Forum Thread | And some said we could crack the top six.... at 21:54 18 Mar 2014
It's been a while since i've posted (the abrupt end to our 300+ page wrestling thread on the old site was saddening) but I remember reading some threads before the season began which had me chuckling today. I can't lift any quotes because I don't have the time of day to be trawling through pages of threads, but I remember legitimate conversations going on here the gist of which were 'With Bony now we're definitely set up for the top 6'. Most argued we would take the place of either Everton or L'pool. I'm not bashing us in any way, but its funny how our season has played out however unlucky we have been missing Michu all season long. Also i'm not a scumdiff fan.... that being said location settings would suggest otherwise me living here now and what not. Just an observation guys don't get mad! |

arrived home from nyc today. saw the jets-eagles game which was a little slow paced (who can blame being a week away from the regular season) . the whole experience was by far extraordinary to say the least larger than life, in a word it was fantastic. we caught a coach from times square to metlife which took about 20 mins, the events that followed were incredible. keep in mind i had never heard of the tailgating concept so seeing fans outside the stadium having a bbq, beers, music and throwing the football around blew my mind (there were quite a few even though it was pre season). once you've entered the complex its pretty much up to you how you go about your pre game antics. something that completely blew me away was how many concession stands there were (i'll post a photo of this up soon) along the concourse there were stands for everything hotdogs, burgers, beer, pretzels, fried clams..... yes fried clams it was amazingly ridiculous. we were sat in section 116 row 24, basically on the 30-yard line and i must say the seats were fantastic. people around us were asking if we were season ticket holders and after talking to most it appeared as though the majority in our section were. of all the modern stadiums i've visited i'd put metlife ahead of wembley easy for the matchday experience. what also struck me were how polite and friendly the people are in new york, particulary staff in the stadium. matt barkley looked solid at qb for the eagles and looks ample back up for vick, another player who caught my eye was rogers? receiver for the jets? for what he lacked in acceleration he more than made up in route running and ability to beat defenders. also bought a tebow pats t shirt on the friday...... was released the next day, what a decision that was. overall fantastic, can't knock anything the nfl fans put us to shame in regards to passion for the sport. |

said it a few months back but i'll reiterate, the creative department is on fire with the quality of storylines right now. makes me cringe seeing so many smarks on the dirtsheets saying "orton/hhh turn was so predictable i knew before the ppv". i didn't have the slightest which made it that more entertaining for me, that'll go down as one of the most memorable summerslam moments of all time! |

the worst thing the wwe could do now is place young higher on the card. as for tonight, i'm predicting very little adr retains and cena somehow. only turn up i can see is rvd winning |

off to metlife myself later this month to watch jets - eagles ironically i hold a dislike towards both teams, i'll come back with the details. we're bottom tier like 25 rows back. all the same it'll be the first nfl game i've seen live so pretty excited, the regular season games will be that much better than pre season so good going getting those tickets! |

had my draft last night, this is the roster i ended up with RB: doug martin, lamar miller, jonathan franklin QB: russell wilson, rg3 WR: calvin johnson, jordy nelson, james jones, tavon austin, deandre hopkins, mike williams TE: ed dickson, tyler eifert K: blair walsh DEF: ravens in hindsight should have taken more running backs than wr's |

so in short there are 10 picks? rodgers or kaepernick would be my prefered choice this year maybe brees or wilson. back up qb and defensive player 9th and 10th pick? from what i gather |

denver should be superbowl bound, will be very interesting in the AFC east considering the weapons brady has lost coupled with the pieces miami has put in place. |

so close to the 300 mark as well, it interests me why they haven't added rhodes - sandow to the card yet more so that the idea of the briefcase on the line hasn't even been mentioned. guess they're paying more attention to building the angle instead. |
