Did that aforementioned John Bailey play in the 84 semifinal for Everton? I dont remember him doing so but he was still at Everton at the time I think. |

Leadership is our problem, or lack of it. No leadership at boardroom level, no leadership at management level, but most importantly at this moment no leadership on the pitch. There is no player the others look to when the pressures on, and this coupled with a weak clueless manager will be our downfall. |
| News Comment | Everton Set To Appoint Koeman On Tuesday at 06:17:26
The argument about RK knowing what's in a players contract to enable him and Everton prise our players away is nonsense as the players agent will know exactly what's in the contract and will willingly divulge said information to any suitors. |

The best away game known. I was in the away end but three of my mates I travelled with had tickets in for the North Terrace. Apparently there was at least 500 Saints in the Fratton End, And home on a Southampton Corporation double-decker bus. Happy days. |
| News Comment | What Was Your First Ever Saints Game ? at 17:35:38
Saints 2 Fulham 1, February 1976. An evening game. I was 9 years old, and hooked straight away. 3 months later we won the cup of course. I wouldn't have believe you if you told me then we would still be waiting to repeat that feet 40 years later!! Channon scored one of ours I can't remember who scored the other. The Dell under floodlights was always magical. |
| News Comment | Saints At Arsenal The Verdict at 00:27:12
With respect Santos if NA did say he didn't want too much change why has the Dwarf been buying strikers left right and centre. NA is on film saying he wanted to strengthen defence, so what you heard through a reliable avenue maybe not so reliable. |
| News Comment | Saints Greatest Ever Manager at 09:45:34
A good article. For me it has to be Lawrie. Without doubt what he achieved would not have been so likely had Ted Bates not set the club on the right course; but under his stewardship we achieved are greatest prize, the FA Cup in exceptional circumstances, established ourselves in the top flight and continued to fire the imagination of the fans with some astonishing signings; everyone remember where they were when they heard Kevin Keegan had signed? |

A truly unforgettable day. Travelled on a Southampton City Corporation double decker organised by CF. Four mates had tickets in the PFC north stand. I was stood to the left of the goal from the pitch, and went fooking ballistic when Moran scored. I have a framed print of the goal on my lounge wall. |
| News Comment | Tribute Or Snub.? at 11:41:28
I think the problem was it was an event, not a match. 90 minutes against WB would have seen a bigger crowd I think. |
