Makes sense for him. O’Neill is a Bromley boy and Sean Derry lives in Beckenham.

QPR Development Squad live on Youtube v Cardiff today 2pm ko

He won promotion to and played 30 or so times in the Portuguese top flight. He’s 23. I doubt very much he was brought in to play for the development squad.

If I’d had the start to a career at a new club that he’s had I’d regard that as a bit of a nightmare.

Heverton Santos subbed off after an hour. I wonder if January will bring an end to his nightmare time at QPR. I can’t help but feel sorry for him. His confidence must be at rock bottom. He played at left back against possibly the outstanding RM in the league against Middlesbrough and he’s been bombed out ever since. Gvardiol didn’t do any better against Ben Doak a few days later in the Cup. Ashby, who isn’t even our player, gets picked when he’s stunk the place out for weeks.

And getting himself sent off on purpose to help Citeh win the league title. Despicable.

On the full version of this chat Orr also talks about Adel’s ability and his lack of training. He also mentions Joey Barton and how he treated Adel to the point that Taraabt send a legally drafted letter to QPR stating he refused to train with Barton as Barton was endangering his career by over zealous tackling. Barton also undermined Warnock.

Among many, many mistakes at the club around this time, signing Barton has to be right up there. Vile.

4 Clean sheets in a row

A very surprising stat but context is everything. You can be surrounded by three opposition players and have the ball taken off you or you can pass the ball, under little pressure, straight to the opposition like Ashby did last night on several occasions.

Jimmy Dunne continues to defy logic at right back. He’s not quick and not the most comfortable with the ball at his feet but does a brilliant job even against the leagues top scorer in Sainz. He gets forward and links up well. He’s undropable.

As has been stated though the weakness is at LB. Ashby had an absolutely shocking performance last night, giving the ball away so many times. I know he’s only young but his basic passing ability is very poor. Fox was equally as dodgy when he came on.

These Match Report Headlines Don't Write Themselves...

I wouldn’t get too good at this headline writing malarkey (and some of them are very good). Someone might get ideas about a weekly competition to write the best match reports. #FeetUpCigarOnTheGo

I think Ashby thinks we’re playing in yellow the amount of times he’s passed straight to them.

His corners are also an improvement on the failure to beat the first man that we’ve had to endure for the last couple of seasons. His corners caused havoc against Watford and we scored from one today. It’s a shame, at 6’4” that he can’t be on the end of them as well.

A theme explored in what is possibly my favourite film. Harakiri from 1962. If you haven’t seen it you really should. It is jaw droppingly good.

In karate and aikido (and probably more martial arts) if one combatant injures his opponent it is considered honorable to kneel and look in the opposite direction so as not to see the shame/vulnerability of their opponent.

Whereas in MMA it is considered fair game to punch your opponent in the face when he’s on the floor and already all but unconscious. Disgusting.

It would be great if our supporters all bowed in response to Saito when he does this.
