I wholeheartedly agree that advertisers should not have their adverts covered. The issue that the two particular fans raised with me as a fellow flag holder was that they now have very few areas remaining in which to put up their flags and it appears there is now not enough to meet demand. Hopefully this wont be the case but time will tell over the coming weeks. |

A couple of supporters have been in touch with me since the Leeds game on Tuesday regarding their flags they usually put in various locations around the East and NE Stands. We usually put one up in front of where we sit in the East Upper with no real issue and have done for the past 3 years or so. With the new Trade Centre Wales advert boards going up before Tuesday's game stewards were telling anyone who tried that it simply wasn't happening over any areas of wording or logos etc! That did not leave a lot of remaining space and definately nothing in close proximity to us! I will see if I can get a response from the club to see how they are prepared to get round this but it would be useful beforehand if anyone else who experienced a similar problem to us on Tuesday can let me know on here or email me on dave.dalton@swanstrust.co.uk so that I can add it to the others who have been in touch with me? Thanks |

Some initial replies of mine to the following questions I've just come across.... 1. What is your stance re perusing legal action against old/new board? If we don't get any attempt of some decent offers from the board (old or new) from this current process of mediation our legal side are pursuing then it simply has to be legal action as the only other option left available to us. 2. Are you in favour of or against, continued pressure to remove old big nose from his chairman role? Since becoming a co-opted member of the Trust board late last year and getting to understand a lot more of what has gone on over the past few years then I firmly believe it is time for HJ to step down as Chairman. 3. Also like last poster, how do you intend/purpose to improve avenues of communication with members/fans in general? I am not going to pretend that this isn't a problem for the Trust. It is and arguably was one of the main reasons why I wanted to get more involved with the Trust when I stood for election last year. I quickly realised however that others far better than me who have represented the Trust have found this a tough nut to crack! It wont be for the lack of trying if I do get another chance to make even a small improvement though! That said, whatever the reasons are as to why this has become such an issue over the past few years are now broadly irrelevant as the Trust in now in completely new territory. What is important in my view is that when the new board get elected then priority MUST be given to selecting the very best individuals we have at our disposal to be put together and given the remit and jurisdiction of leading the way forward to give our members as much information as we are able and on a far more regular basis than what we do now. It is slowly improving though but still has a huge way to go! I believe the choice of who we go for as new co-opted board members should also have "communication" at the forefront of who they decide to approach. All forms of communication have their part to play here (yes including PS!) but will only be as good as what we produce and put out there. It has to be useful and relevant and not just be put out there for the sake of it. I have other ideas as well but preferably would like to initially discuss them with the new Trust board, if of course I am fortunate enough to get elected? If I don't then I will just have to send them a strongly worded letter with my suggestions!! The other thing that I believe is crucial to the future of the Trust is increasing our member base and also looking to bring younger supporters in. Again a tough task but one that is absolutely vital if we are to remain a viable part of this club in the years ahead. |

After just receiving a couple of messages from other PS members it looks as if I need to post a response to some concerns on here! I can assure you that there is nothing sinister in the fact I am only doing so now...its just a simple fact that for the past 2-3 years I haven't been a regular visitor to the site - sorry Phil! I am more than happy to answer any questions that come my way and if that be via PS, FB, SCFC2, Twitter, email or any other way that suits I will endeavor to provide a meaningful response. I will go back through this thread in more detail after I post this and answer the questions that have been asked already. If I have already replied to you via the other routes I've mentioned above then its not an issue as it will allow others on here to see where I stand on what I believe are going to be a tough couple of years for the club and the Trust. | Forum Thread | Retro Shirt Day? at 12:36 9 May 2016
As its the last game of the season on Sunday and with the weather seemingly set fair what are your thoughts on digging out some of our favourite Swans home shirts from the back of the cupboard for this one? We have some real beauty's (good and bad!) from over the years that I'm sure would stir up a good few memories and stories from the past!! Be great to see the stadium full of home shirts from over the years! Doesn't matter even whether its this years Adidas shirt either as that will be officially "retro" after Sunday! Be also fantastic to see most of the stadium in various shades of white (or off gray!!) from the past 20-30 odd years to bring the season to a fitting close. One other thing. What are your views on anyone wanting to participate in this on Sunday making a small donation at the match for an appropriate fundraiser? We will need a few bucket collector volunteers and of course a suggested cause. My personal choice would be to help towards the Justice for Terry Coles case costs: https://www.facebook.com/Justiceforterry/ but again I will leave this for general discussion. I'm sure we have enough time to spread the word and make this work and if required I am happy to liaise with whoever I need to to help co-ordinate things. Email ceredigionjacks@gmail.com or mobile 07966 598716 if anyone wants to get in touch direct. Thanks! Dave Dalton Ceredigion Jacks Supporters Group |
| Forum Thread | Any Questions for the Coaches & Board? at 19:28 20 Oct 2015
I'm guessing there are a few out there who have a question or two for our coaches & board at the moment?? To celebrate the official launch of the Ceredigion Jacks we have a Fans Forum coming up on Thursday in Lampeter Rugby Club. We are very grateful to the Swans Trust in helping us ensure a really good cross representation from the club is on the Panel including: Pep Clotet James Beattie Lee Trundle Huw Cooze We still have some spaces available but if you cannot make it and would like us to put a question (please keep it repeatable and clean.......ish!) to the Panel just let us know! The best 6 we receive will be asked during the evening and their answers will be posted up before we travel up to the Villa game! Diolch Dave Jacs Ceredigion |

For any Jacks in or around the Ceredigion area we are delighted to announce our Official launch Fans Forum later this year in Lampeter.. A great club representation on the Panel is expected. We are extremely grateful to Jim White, Huw Cooze and the Swans Trust for their help and support in getting this arranged. We will also be arranging a mini coaching / skills session with Lee Trundle for any local juniors beforehand.. Admission for the event is completely free and more details about this and our new Jacs Ceredigion Supporters Group can be found on our Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/CeredigionJacks Diolch! | Forum Thread | Next Swans Manager at 08:00 15 Jun 2015
Completely hypothetical question for you all this fine Monday morning..... Lets fast forward to the end of the 2017-2018 season and presume (hopefully!) that the Swans are still in Premier League? An offer to manage at a top club comes in that Garry is probably ready to take up and we reluctantly give him our blessing. Wales too are still punching above their weight after having had a decent World Cup qualifying campaign (maybe even getting to the 2018 finals?) with Chris Coleman still in charge. Would you then consider offering the vacant Swans job to Coleman a step forward or step back? .....and discuss!! Dave |

Just wanted to say that thanks to the fantastic generosity of a chap I have never met before called Mike Sullivan from the Halfway Inn in Swansea who phoned me out of the blue to donate this flag to our fledgling (and presently skint!) Ceredigion Jacks / Jacs Ceredigion Supporters Group! https://www.dropbox.com/s/dccewxb4r4058r9/20150515_113358.jpeg?dl=0 I will be picking it up on Sunday and anyone interested in borrowing it for any event over the Summer just ask OK? Thank you so much Mike! Being a Jack never ceases to amaze me how much we are all prepared to go that extra mile and help each other out! Diolch yn fawr! Dave D [Post edited 15 May 2015 13:17]

Yes hope so but to be fair have already had messages of support from the likes of Huw Cooze, Jim White and of course Phil S all of whom have promised to help us as much as they can to get us up and running. Hoping the club will support us out with a good panel when we have our planned Fans Forum evening later in the Summer too! Definitely interest out there and would be great to see them joining up with us as fully fledged Ceredigion Jacks aka Jacs Ceredigion! For twitter users I have today set up a new account @CeredigionJacks so get following!! |

Thanks to all those that made our get together in Felinfach earlier and to those that have already pledged their support to our new Swans Supporters Group. We have decided to formally set the new group up as "Ceredigion Jacks" and over the next 3 months will be busy recruiting as many Swans fans (young & old) from the area as we possibly can. With the help of the Club we will then aim to set up a Fans Forum as our next event probably in the Lampeter area in August/September. If anyone is interested in joining up or just finding out more then just give me a call on 07966 598716 or email me at ceredigionjacks@gmail.com and I'll send you some more info. Everyone is welcome........as long as they are a Jack!! Dave D |

Thanks for all the positive responses to this. Early indications are that we should have a decent turn out tomorrow evening but still room for more if you can make it or want to get involved. Dave D |
| Forum Thread | Attacking End at 07:52 3 May 2015
First time for a while I've seen us attack the North (away) end in the second half. Did we win or lose the toss to choose which way to play this time as 9 times out of 10 its usually the other way round? Personally I would prefer this to be the case for every home game as its (arguably) the more vocal end when we really need to get behind the team (and its closer to where we sit!!) Any ideas why the change yesterday? Dave D |
| Forum Thread | New Swans Supporters Group at 07:06 29 Apr 2015
For anyone interested we are hoping to set up a new Swans Supporters Group in the Lampeter/Aberaeron/Tregaron area in the next few weeks and we have arranged an informal get together for anyone who would like to get involved for Sunday 10th May at 7pm in the Vale of Aeron, Felinfach, Lampeter, SA48 8AE. If we get a good response and turn out then it should allow us to consider setting something more formal up which will help us all co-ordinate anything locally that is Swans related such as ticketing and travelling to home and away games plus anything else that the group would like to do. We would also like to actively encourage the merits of Swans Trust membership within the group and also focus on getting families and local youngsters involved as future Jacks. Further ahead maybe we can try and get the club to assist with some sort of junior ticketing schemes for selected future games when the increase to stadium capacity commences? Phil & Jim White have been very helpful by pointing us in the right direction and although Jim will be in London that weekend for the Arsenal v Swansea game on the Monday night he has kindly agreed to give us some help in getting us going if we have enough interest in setting something up. We now need to push ahead with promoting the idea a bit more. As this is the first meeting we cannot really gauge how many might be interested so it would be appreciated if you can email me on frithwen@aol.com or text me on 07966 598716 if you think you can come along? If you can't make it to this initial get together but would still like me to put you on any future mailing list if we do manage to set up a new group then let me know. Any suggestions that members of current Swans Supporters Groups have for us on what to look out for would also be very welcome. Finally, If you know of any other Swans supporters in our area who might like to get involved please ask them to get in touch. Many thanks Dave D |
