Having been to a few reserver games as a 15 year old, this was my first proper QPR game a few months later. Glory hunter or what?!
Stood right at the back of the North Bank with my dad, saw fook-all down our end of the pitch all all game so consequently didn't actually see the gaol. Went mental when we scored though!
Bob Hazell was awesome against Cyril Regis.

Mottty at 1:27: "The Rangers team includes 8 London-born players.." - what chance that today?
Remember the great day well - from Allen's goal, to the wild celebrations at the end, to the Baggies fans throwing beer cans at us. I think Argentina invaded the Falklands literally the day before - memorable times.

Great memories of the game and that team. Venables got his tactics spot on and I will always love Clive Allen's knee. I recall the tube up to Arsenal was rammed with Rangers fans and the celebrations on full time were awesome. The longest final 15 minutes of a game ever.

Was there with my late Dad. Motty saying " Just over 40000 when the ground holds nearly 60000" Bit odd as I remember it being rammed. But what a day.
Going to the Hawthorns tomorrow, got a feeling it's not going to be quite as exciting.
URsss
I went up to WBA when we drew them in the 3rd round the following season. We lost 3-2 ( ? ) and i seem to recall we had some school kid in goal for us ( anyone remember why or who ? )

Peter Hucker was injured so reserve Graham Benstead played. I think it was his only game. He did play for Kettering for a few years in the Conference.

Thanks Cheshire, just googled him and saw he was born in '63 so he would have been 20 when he played. For some reason i thought the keeper we played that day was a lot younger ( thats age for you )
