Just flicking through different news channels, and CNN (?) were talking how the Russian press got into the Oval Office uninvited ,and were transmitting to Russia live, while all the other press had to wait until it had finished.
Trump told Zelensky to come back when he wanted peace.

If he doesn’t want to even discuss peace and can’t see the benefits in discussion and talks to find a position within those talks then it’s Zelensky who is playing silly games. By walking out and leaving without even an attempt to compromise from his very weak position he has signed the death warrant of thousands more of his people. Putin is also a fool but he is a world leader, Zelensky is a tin pot right wing dictator with fascist roots and a shit comedy career.
Of course, everyone will sympathise with what has happened so far, it’s horrendous. Especially in the Ukraine who are under siege. It’s an awful situation for any country to be in, but Zelensky needs to be clever, not turn up like a Frank Sinazi comedy show but use the situation to very very slowly turn any discussions his way. Trump is mad but is trying to achieve peace for his own countries ends. Zelensky is prancing about like Mel Brooks in some seventies nazi comedy film, and Putin thinks it’s all a laugh but has no idea what can happen in the future. Be that bare chested on a new horse or his own assassination which the Americans could easily carry out, Zelensky needs to think about that as well.

What message would achieving peace in this way would send to the world?
Invade a sovereign country, take land, millions die and then profit for it when a bully has deemed that’s that’s enough.
How about Russia giving back all the land they have stolen and get the hell out of Ukraine.

The bottom line is that Ukraine has been invaded. Irrespective of NATO, the EU, resources or anything else.
They're a democratic country who can do what they want. They haven't started anything. They shouldn't need to be serious about peace, Russia should just withdraw to their borders.

The USA is a lot closer to Russia than we are. 20 miles or so at its narrowest point.

There is no point in him signing a bad deal as they will take the minerals andnot provide support anyway. He rightly cannot trust Trump nor Vance who have not said one bad word about Putin. (no one can) Like Prof Sachs they are probably contracted not to do so.

There's nothing democratic about the Ukraine. They had a violent coup in 2014 that overthrew a govt and it's been a mess ever since.
Trump was correct, although he was disrespectful. Ukraine are losing and Zelensky has very little options.
