League Cup final. What a day.
We stayed in Jury's at Watford.
Great couple of nights, 50/50 Swans and Bradford fans.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Won travel tickets with Capital One so that was sorted, freezing cold day standing outside the ground after buying 12 pack lager from Lidls or was it Aldis , then sitting virtually in the same row as when we watched the playoff final , great day but slightly subdued due to the way we turned them over .Still have the mini flags handed out.

Great day during a great time to be a swans fan I was lucky enough to receive from the lady gymnast and present/carry the cup at the start of the game , 100 years first major trophy and I got that gig 🦢 amazing experience but for some reason Wembley 1994 just tops every Wembley game since for me

Stayed 2 nights in the Ibis hotel, walking distance to the stadium, stayed there for the play off final as well, fantastic memories.

Was lucky enough to be in Preston when we won promotion to the old first division, unfortunately, can't see us reaching those heights in my lifetime.

Great story.

How did you get the gig ?
Who was the lady gymnast ?

Reading game for me but the Huddersfield game at the old stadium was a blast as well.
Iconic kit for 1994.

At the time I was in the Welsh Guards and the Battalion were asked to provide a soldier to carry the cup on , my muka was the drill sergeant and as far as he was concerned there was only one person for the job but he sent it out to all , anyway when I got there for rehearsals on the Friday there was no format and I had to come up with a plan , anyway I had to March out and halt ( not bend and drive the foot in to the hallowed turf ) on a certain point the big balloon would open above me and the lady would come down on a rope and pass me the cup in the correct way so I could un hook it from her wrist ( attached by a wire just in case , take control with no reason to move the positioning , about turn March to the plinth place the cup down and March off , we rehearsed this 3 times on the Friday and on the morning of the game, everything went perfectly, however for the main event I marched out to my spot and as she was coming down a gust of wind blew the balloon and she came down behind me my world nearly ended there 🤦‍♂️, I about turned received the cup the wrong way and had to adjust and carry on and the rest went to plan , I had a vip pass and before the game I was allowed to do what I wanted had chats with laudrup Britton monk and my hero Curtis , if I spotted people in the crowd I could walk up and talk to them it was brilliant only drawback was they gave me tickets in the Bradford end

What a story that is.

Outstanding effort.
I could never ever do that for that game.

Congratulations on your contribution to the big day and thank you for sharing it with us.

A great period in the clubs history.
And a reminder that clubs like Newcastle, Everton and Spurs have gone a longer period of time since they won a major trophy.

Valencia was the very peak.

It was so sad in many ways on how the club changed from 2015 onwards as the Swansea Way was slowly eroded on and off the pitch.

Hmmm, my wife has epilepsy. Back then she was having seizures much more often. I had my ticket and seat on a bus but had to give them both up because she was ill a few days before and really struggling. Our son was 4 then, I couldn't leave them at home and put them both at risk.

I watched on tv and it did feel a bit subdued because we won so easily.

You done the right thing man 🫡.
Man with morals you can respect that.
Those tickets were worth a small fortune still we won a cup .
I hope we don’t have to be like Cardiff still thinking it makes us big in 90 years.
