If we want to protect 11 and 12 year old girls then we should explore all angles and not discount any line of enquiry or seek to influence any investigation, so any inquiry should have statutory powers to protect the innocent and identify the guilty.
There is something disturbing about those who don't want to use the full force of the law to protect 11 year old innocents.

National inquiries have a statutory element, you can't refuse to attend for example, local enquiries do not have those powers. No one in authority has been held to account, although it is accepted that those in authority failed to protect vulnerable children. So why not have statutory powers? | |
