Dagenham match thread 16:54 - Dec 14 with 10532 views | 442Dale | Even though it’s finished. Big pressure on McNulty and his team to get two positive results before Christmas. The amount of teams bunched together who look to be going for two playoff spots is growing. Top five keep pulling away. Not seen anything today, but those subs all seem way too late. When we’ve a squad with so many options you have to be utilising them earlier in tight games.

Dagenham match thread on 17:02 - Dec 14 with 4360 views | Daley_Lama | Daggers are awful to watch. Their only tactic is to get a throw in in the opposition half and do a long throw in. Their goal came from us having a direct free/kick front and centre. Everybody piled forward. It was hit into the wall, they broke, good cross and finish. Our only tactic of methodical slow passing was on show and we created little. Thankfully these two teams have played each other twice now and the non spectacle borefest won’t be repeated.

Dagenham match thread on 17:08 - Dec 14 with 4310 views | D_Alien | Apart from the obvious initial pressure to stabilise the playing side amid the possibility of extinction last season, this is the first time JM has to demonstrate the ability to stop a slide in a far more stable environment financially It's still very tight in that lower group of playoff hopefuls and we've games in hand on most, but you're right in saying that our performances over the key Xmas/NY games will likely shape the rest of the season An inability to turn things round rather than more of the same has been the single factor which has me doubting his abilities in the longer term Come on JM, prove me wrong, i'd be delighted

It wasn't even really 'hit' into the wall, tried to get too cute and virtually rolled it. Their goal was probably the only bit of quality in the whole game, both teams more or less cancelled each other out before this and it was painfully dull to watch.

Daggers weren't the only team awful to watch. In fact I'd rather watch them than us, at least they tried to create chances. Teams have worked out McNulty's tactics, if you can call them that. Just stand there and after a few minutes of passing the ball around, they will give away possession and leave massive gaps at the back. I feel most sorry for the 200+ fans who paid time and good money only to be rewarded with the utter crap served up today.
Dagenham match thread on 17:16 - Dec 14 with 4224 views | NorthernDale | I thought it would be a tough game and would have taken a point, but Tuesday's game will not be easy, because Tamworth are a tough team. We have a good squad, but a manager who cannot change his tactics, his preferred style of play and is at times are our biggest handicap. I have no doubt, McNulty will say the team played well and use the old line, we are one year into a three project, but Tuesday is a most win game.
Dagenham match thread on 17:17 - Dec 14 with 4199 views | 442Dale | Returning to this… GK Waller, Kelly, McNicholas (injured) Defenders Gordon, Beckwith, Hogan, Ferguson, Armstrong, EEL Midfielders East, Gilmour, Henry, Burger, Weston Wide players inc wing backs TAR, Allarakhia, Buyabu, McBride, Barlow, Okeke, Ayinde, Penney, Alfa, Senior (out on loan) Forwards Mitchell, Rodney, Henderson, Dennis We’ve too many players who aren’t being utilised consistently. Yes, injuries play a part, but the team changes are made and it’s all very much like for like. Where was McBride today? What’s happened to Penney? Barlow not involved after doing ok recently. If we could actually improve on keeping players fit, we could lose 4/5 of this squad and not notice the difference.

It was that exciting I actually turned it off after half time and instead chose to write a pile of Christmas cards, something I actually despise doing. You wouldn't mind a boring game if your team ploughs on with a few 1.0 absolute snore fests, it's terrible to watch and the results are about as satisfying.

......a team that has taken 4 points off us this season. Points that will make a big difference in the final run in. How well does that reflect on us?

Sorry to say, this is a mid-table side with a mid-table manager .. why wait until the last 10-15 minutes to change anything and then to fall for the old sucker punch?... Poor. A point would have been OK with home games to come but going all that way and losing is just sloppy playing and management. And I am not sure the home advantage will prove to be what it could/ought to be be if we cant score more goals bearing in mind the goals against has gone from 0.95 to 1.25 over the last 8 games

How are we a mid-table side all of a sudden? We weren’t a few weeks ago and this is the first time we’ve not been in the playoff places for months! McNulty’s decision making and tactics are most certainly worthy of debate but let’s not start pretending this squad isn’t one that should be finishing in the top seven.

Not slagging anyone off. Making it totally clear that my opinion is based on not seeing any of the game, so therefore it doesn’t carry as much weight as those who have. The observations are based on the facts around our squad size and other factors that can be quantified. Totally happy for them to be contradicted by those who watched the game and can offer more insight because they have better evidence to back up their own opinions. Don’t ruin another thread with your tedious contributions which carry no substance when they aren’t backed up with any substance.

Bet you wish your lot had such things to discuss, rather than "how the f*ck do we get back into the National League"

It was the bit about slagging off the manager that raised the biggest chuckle when you think about how much time I’ve argued his corner this season! Difference is, then it was a debate with people who understand football.

Depends if you calling boring bad DA, for me its like watching paint dry far far too often, considering what we have within the squad if he's getting anything near a tune of of this lot I'm the next king of England, even a point down there wouldn't have changed much it's like driving a car around with the handbrake permanently on the top notch [Post edited 14 Dec 19:13]

hey young man what u mean getting back to the national league we've never been in it! i have no interest in getting to it either apart from the national north looks a good league that and the northern premier, your league and league 2 waste of time lad.
Dagenham match thread on 19:42 - Dec 14 with 3063 views | SteTsGoldenBoot | The injuries we get on the training ground is alarming! We now have a continuation of the players disinterest shown under Stockdale and Bentley! We will not improve until anyone within the club at that time is removed! Yes I have altered my opinion on the manager, every respect for what he did last year, we are now a different club with different needs.
