U's to spook The Robins? on 10:52 - Dec 3 with 1440 views | wessex_exile | Hahaha - I live a stones throw away from their training ground, so that probably explains all the paranormal activity keeping me awake at night. Seriously though, Holloway at his most bonkers best.

Bad news is Goodliffe and Anderson's injuries sees them not even on the bench, but the good news is Taylor has made the bench. Flanagan and Gordon start instead.

U's to spook The Robins? on 21:56 - Dec 3 with 1067 views | wessex_exile | Great first half, sat back second half, but still too much for a dreadful Swindon. Holloway must be wondering what he's let himself in for. As for the U's, won at a canter in a fairly average performance overall. On to Notts County!

U's to spook The Robins? on 22:18 - Dec 3 with 1040 views | 442 | I thought Taylor was immense when he came on so close to at least 3 goals in his short time on the pitch. Yet on the official board they are upset by his annoying flicks and back heals. God give me strength.

You probably want to stay clear of the unofficial Facebook groups then, that’ll send you into meltdown. In all honesty, I hovered over Own Goal for our first scorer in the U’sual PL - gutted (but obviously elated regardless)

This is why football is great as people have such varying views I wasn't overly impressed with Taylor, he wasn't bad but I didn't think he was good.

Agree with your Tovide comment. Sadly I expect him to be gone in January transfer window

Oh, and I watched it live on iFollow whilst "working" so had the enjoyment of the Kelly & Gregory commentary How are the Chuckle Brothers doing now franksic1988? You’ve been a bit quiet recently And in New Zealand/Col U related news.... Tommy Smith's Auckland Football Club are currently hold the record for most consecutive wins by a new A-League club with five victories from their first five games! 8 goals scored and 0 conceded! The less said about the cricket over here and the more about the football the better we think!

Yes, well done Durham for such a brave prediction. Does he deserve a Happy League bonus Mick? The five game run inclusive of two wins is a significant step towards a better season. Maybe the first sign of a turn for the better??? Most important must be that we have kept three consecutive clean sheets. If we keep the run going at Nottingham then the signs really are positive. Up the creeping up U's!

U's to spook The Robins? on 08:43 - Dec 4 with 836 views | bwildered | A dream game for all concerned. Comprehensive home win, clean sheet and everyone having a run-out. System was and is there, but showed more pace and flouncy that will worry any team in this division. Important though that home form improves which makes away points invaluable in building confidence, which showed tonight . Only downside, all goals scored at the north end . Onwards and Upwards.

On the subject of Notts County, ticket sales suggest a large following from the faithful. For those who are as yet undecided, Notts County have yet to confirm whether they’ll sell away tickets on the day. Tickets in advance have to be bought through their own ticketing website (you have to register), but they do e-tickets so no need to worry about them not arriving in time through the post.

ghughes11 Very nice of you to reflect my prediction. I suppose that once in a while a prediction comes true. My feeling is and to quote a politician "I stood down because I was becoming a distraction" is entirely applicable to Ian Holloway. Since arriving at Swindon he has contributed nothing but outrageous statements and bizarre supernatural phenomenon related matters. I doubt if he will last until Santa arrives this Christmas. I think that a number of us have been considering that once our better players were fit that we would be going to start move up the table. More importantly a run of unbeaten games is vital to achieve that. I am of the opinion that even if the sharks come circling in January we should resist any temptation to sell Samson Tovide. Financially we have garnered enough from at least four decent bits of business and Tovide can fire us to the play offs given the opportunity. Regarding the cricket. I watched much of the First Test and undoubtedly the old maxim catches win matches was entirely appropriate. The sides look evenly matched and I am sure that the games will be close fought. In the meantime, Up the U's

U's to spook The Robins? on 10:06 - Dec 4 with 782 views | TheOldOakTree | One win and we are going to be promoted, one loss and we are doomed, the joys of supporting the U's. If we can keep Samson (and others) and spend enough in January to plug the gaps in the squad, the little extra investment could pay dividends by the bucket load. Now is the time to finally reverse the eternal slide, there’s not going to be a better time, there are no good teams this year. The difference between making the play-offs or getting relegated is quite slim and there are still 84 points to play for. We are not far away from being a winning side, but more Sell, Sell, Sell and a few injuries and it could just as easy be curtains. For me this really feels like a crucial time in Col U’s history. The long-term direction we take from here depends on how the club is run, and concentrating on what is important, far more than the performance of the manager or players.
