I have supported the club for just under 20 years now and for the first time in my memory, I reluctantly admit to losing interest. There are fortunately or unfortunately things I would rather be doing to enjoy my weekends that cost a lot less money and stress  .
Even through the prem years and Ainsworth football (the worst ive seen), I still had the drive to be frustrated with the team and had optimism that it would be better soon. Cold Tuesday nights at the Loft or long away days weren't a hindrance, it was all part of supporting QPR.
However, it just seems like failure after failure after failure and we never seem to learn. Andy Belk's continued employment despite seemingly not being very good is evidence of this alone.
I dont know what the answer is, it feels like we have gone down every route possible. But we just want a bit of Warnock and Adel to cheer us all up haha. Hats off to those who have done it for 40+ years, its truly admirable. |  |

While its not good currently, it's important to remember that just on this site alone, we'll have someone post something between now and Christmas that will remind us: it's only football!
If we go down and/or under, one thing won't change for me and I suspect many of us older dogs: it ain't about QPR Holdings Ltd; the players; Kim Jung; tubby useless Malays; even Marti: its about the chums you have made through QPR.
Pretty much all of those chums and I have been going for 50-plus years and while 20 April 1986 rationalised my interest in it all, if we ended up in some amateur league, we'd still meet up and enjoy the craic...in fact, we might enjoy QPR more!!

Yeah I know what you mean, it’s a consistent inability to do much decent transfer business coupled with bad management/decisions on the few decent players we do get them for me. Currently we’re better off with kids that need to make it as they at least have something to prove
I haven’t been regularly attending since early 2000s and I’m getting to tbr point where I can’t be bothered to it watch on the telly. I had the game on yesterday in the background with the sound down and was pretty chuffed we only lost by 2. Not really a great ambition, pretty painful to only win 13 of the last 56 home games or whatever | | | |

Only time I would question that is if the players don't care and are not giving 100% but that isn't the case with this lot it's just that some are not good enough which isn't really their fault . [Post edited 10 Nov 10:46]

I wrote here a month or so back that I was stopping going and after 50 years and 30 years of holding 2 season tickets I can tell you it has been a pleasant experience. I still follow the results and do the odd post but I am already much less tense and can shake off a result by 530. And for what it is worth my annoyance is not with the players but with those who bought them in. Rueben is clearly spineless and easily conned. Hoos, Belk and especially Nourry are a combination of poor to uninterested. Rueben owns the club ,it is up to him to sort it. Not bringing back Allen and taking Nourry instead was just ridiculous as can be highlighted by the summer signings at Millwall and ourselves. And for those who think we will bounce back from League 1 are I think in dreamland. Something like Charlton is more likely. Useless owners equals useless football club. Frankly I'd rather the owners put the club into admin and see what happens. Otherwise I think next season with this lot and we will be looking more at League 2. | | | |

My first match was in 1965, and went to Rangers every home game until around 1979 when my parents moved to the cotswolds.
A great move for living standards and way of life but no Rangers, apart from the occassional match, closer to where i lived, or HQ when we could.
I've not been to HQ for 20+ years, and the last time i got to the match got dad out of the car only to have thevsilly sod burst his appendix on the White City estate as we got out the car...... that was a fun, high speed run back to Norfolk (as we had moved there (surely by mistake)) to the parents local hospital.
I've seen the great times, the Bowles's, the Adel's (admittedly away games for Adel), Marsh, that team of the 70's etc etc. It made me proud to be a Rangers fan through and through.
I've seen the dregs too..... Managers that whistled, managers that punched players, fights on the SAR, Players that were simply not a standard you'd see in non league (Zelic, Dou Dou), but then, i've seen the passion to...... Francis, Shittu, Cook, Ainsworth etc.
I've seen the relegations too, seen us drop down and down again, but ive been lucky enough to have games that although we'd lost, the rapture of the Man City game lives on in me.
Taking dad to his first and only visit to Everton, Sunderland, Norwich, Ipswich......
The passion, the fight, the love of a proper Rangers shirt, The team clicking, the fans cheering, AKUTR's (thanks Dave).
However, this season, after a long period of mallaise, interspersed by a few months of looking like we were going somewhere, i find that i'm close to the edge with Rangers.
The team doesnt seem to have any real fight or bite about themselves, players only wanting personal stats to boost their profile and 'worth' and not doing their true 'work' (if you can call it that), by kicking a round ball hither and yon around a patch of grass for 90 or so minutes for stupid money.
I am sorry guys and gals, my fight has almost gone for my team. I'm sad, and probably coming across as morbid, and in many ways remembering the good and truly great times is my only way forward.
Having seen this seasons 'offerings', i do not see a way out of the bottom 3, and with this team probably rock bottom and possibly (oh please god 'no') there all season too!
Perhaps a small LC stadium, with room to breath, and 1st division football, priced per match for the fans, isnt so bad after all?
I cannot see us keeping in the championship, or the owners continuing to pay money into a black hole forever. Maybe we have to go into receivership, sell LR, make LC stadium a reality, get rid of dead wood management and even more deadwood players (you know who you are) and cut our cloth accordingly.
I'm so glad (being selfish here) that i saw the best of my beloved R's, it will never happen again, the world has moved on and we got left behind. |  |

I applaud anyone who goes home and away - I don't know how you do it. There's that guy from the Isle of Wight who goes to every match. F*** knows how you do it when you know you're going to lose like yesterday. I know Clive writes about those moments like Luton away that make it worth it but they are getting fewer and further between. I found everything about it thoroughly depressing. That disgusting badge really sums up that period - NW’s league winning season aside - it’s a time I’d happily forget.
As crazy as it sounds I still really enjoy going to Rangers, it’s not about the winning, although it is great when we do, but it seems to be a bit more of a complex emotional attachment. It’s tied in with our sense of identity, family, childhood memories, a sense of place. If it’s all about the winning then you must be clinically insane to support QPR.

Agree strongly. Based on experiencing both, I genuinely, honestly fear and loath the idea of going up more than going down.
The season you win promotion is incredible, hilarious and brilliant; the season you are relegated (24/25?) is miserable, humiliating and depressing. But both of the last seasons we spent in the PL were the worst I've had for very different reasons, while the three we spent in the third tier were by contrast a romp and rejuvenating. And the PL looks to have grown more annoying (ie VAR) and prohibitively expensive.

Resigned to relegation now and was checking out the teams that make up that division this morning.
Will always continue to support the club, they have been one of the few constants throughout my entire life and have been a supporter for almost 50 years.
We consolidate in the league below and can hopefully have a strong season with plenty of wins.

I didn't even bother checking the score today.
Heard we lost 2-0 shrugged it off, the scorelines dont even effect me anymore. i used to get all worked up about the results and performances but I don't see the point anymore and I don't feel any urge to head to loftus road anytime soon.
Though one thing that hasn't changed is that after a few pints I'll still randomly shout urssssss 😂 [Post edited 10 Nov 12:59]

I dunno, nobody owns how to support QPR. You can go to every game and reserve game, watch every game on a stream, watch some games when you can, live 5 minutes from the ground or live in Fiji. We're all 'proper' fans and we all get to do things how we want and none of us are any less valid for it. Some of the comments on here are a bit off for me. |  |

I will never be done but after the last few years I’m being conditioned to giving up on any hope ! Been going for over 40 years with only a handful of what you might call greatest days (as you will all know)
Slightly lost interest in the early nineties due to spending my weekends partying etc , ironically during some of our best days in the premier league but I think weirdly after relegation I got the bug back and rarely missed a game .
What really is p!ssing me off now though is in all the years I’ve been going and I’ve seen some god awfull teams we have conjured up and even in our stints in the premier league , I never once went to a game and expected to lose ? Midweek games against whoever , didn’t cross my mind and would happily get home after midnight regardless of result .
These last couple of years I find myself more and more thinking , fcuk wasting my time and effort on the latest incumbents and stay home even though I have a season ticket.
