Madsen, Celar, Santos 22:20 - Nov 5 with 7180 views | FleetRss | How have these guys ended up at QPR? Who at the club thought they were good enough for championship football? Saying that there’s no excuse to how the team approached the first 30 mins - we sat back in our own half completely happy for borough to have the ball. Are we the only team in the league that refuses to press the ball even when playing at home?
Madsen, Celar, Santos on 22:28 - Nov 5 with 4012 views | qprrunner | All 3 complete duds. Celar tho (probably because he’s played more) Jesus Christ it’s literally playing with 10 men.
Madsen, Celar, Santos on 22:31 - Nov 5 with 3953 views | bosh67 | Madsen and Celar need to up their work rate and fitness dramatically. Santos just looks out of his depth and not helped by playing in a position he simply couldn't cope with.

Madsen, Celar, Santos on 22:32 - Nov 5 with 3881 views | stainrods_elbow | Celar really puts the lack into lustre, though he could have had a goal or two tonight. (Could have, would have, should have . . .) Chair's supersession at h/t was (is) scary, though he's completely off it. As for the injuries, far be it for us mere fans to wonder when any of them will be back and get some proper answers from the manager or anyone else. What in any of this for us again?

They won't be rushing back to be involved in this shit show.
Madsen, Celar, Santos on 22:48 - Nov 5 with 3687 views | strikerace | Celar was unmarked inside the 6 yd box, not many strikers can't score from there. That takes talent.
Madsen, Celar, Santos on 22:53 - Nov 5 with 3622 views | Jimboqpr | Celar makes me miss Dykes. He's f*cking so awful. Actually, he's not awful, he doesn't get anywhere near the ball to even proove whether he's awful or not, he's just non-existent for almost all of the game. We might as well charge him what we pay to watch this sh*t because he's a spectator. There were at least two easy interceptions from poor Boro passes at the back tonight in the first half where he just seemed to stop running for just as he got close to the ball. It's so frustrating to watch.
Madsen, Celar, Santos on 22:58 - Nov 5 with 3536 views | numptydumpty | Celar does look like he can't be arsed Zero effort Actually we really need to know now. How long are the contracts that all these players we have signed on. My feeling is they could be on three, four or even more years so we are well and truly stiffed but the club have decided to keep everything away from the fans We pay good money to watch this team. We are invested in the club and the very least we need to be kept aware of exactly what this club have done. It's not their club. They are temporary custodians and they are treating the fans with contempt

Madsen, Celar, Santos on 23:01 - Nov 5 with 3483 views | Logman | Madsen, Celar and Santos (and Morgan, I'm afraid) should not be in the team. They are not good enough. The fact that they are only playing because of injuries is not an excuse. They are not good enough and should not have been bought/playing in the team. Andersen is close to joining them. It does feel like good intent has been undermined by a lack of experience.

Morgan? Ffs, he's 18, playing his second full 90 minutes in 3 days with Celar & Madsen offering nothing, give the lad a break, has courage and shows real potential, Andersen meanwhile, someone should check his birth certicate, ambles around like a 40 year old, no heart, no desire, no will to win, beyond shocking tonite.

Yep, he looks like a very good prospect and is very gutsy but I don't think he is ready to be starting for us and if we try it again agains Leeds the result will be similar. We need Sam back in there and Morrison or Dunne at centre back if nec.

Thought Morgan looks a prospect, the other 3 should be moved on as soon as possible, really not up to Championship standard , Santos especially found wanting tonight and Celar is just not at the races at all. Madsen really strange player.
Madsen, Celar, Santos on 05:48 - Nov 6 with 2882 views | HammersmithR | Madden literally does nothing on the pitch. He’s about 6’3. He doesn’t get stuck in. He doesn’t drive with the ball. He avoids demanding the ball. Literally offers nothing. Celar is just a joke. The guy doesn’t do the basics of what a striker should do. Just gets offside constantly. And as for Santos. The guy is like someone from the park who has been asked to play for us. He is so out of his depth at this level. Another one who is just not good enough. Another Nourry signing.
Madsen, Celar, Santos on 06:59 - Nov 6 with 2756 views | davman | Let's add in the fact that we finished that game with Smyth, Lloyd, Anderson and Kolli on the pitch. Utter shite all of them. This squad had money spent on it, but is far worse that last season's one, which, frankly was one of the worst the Championship has ever seen. Injuries have ravaged that to include players like Santos, Madsen and Celar, who probably aren't L1 Standard. JCS, Frey, Colback would certainly strengthen this eleven, but JCS aside are hardly top class champ players are they. Has a very distinct smell of relegation around the place. Effort or Application a problem, but not the main one. Talent is and there a'int a lot of that around. Yet again, top to bottom root and branch transformation needed and the ONLY place to do that is to consolidate in the league below. Not ideal and we could turn into a Charlton and end up there forever or even fall further, but currently we are being outclassed again constantly at this level. Glad I was away and could not be there last night.

Madsen, Celar, Santos on 08:08 - Nov 6 with 2639 views | kingsburyR | I can never make Tuesday night games anymore as my youngest daughter trains for QPR U12's on the same night. I got home to watch the second half on TV. I am not exaggerating when I say I saw twice the commitment from a bunch of girls then what I watched on Sky. If Marti is reading this....go watch your U12 GIRLS play this weekend. They have a ready made replacement for Celar right under your nose. Thank God youth football kept me away from that dog show!

Madsen, Celar, Santos on 08:36 - Nov 6 with 2526 views | Seward | It sits with Belk. Get a football person as head of recruitment. Analytics has its role, but old school football knowledge and contacts is more important when recruiting for the championship
Madsen, Celar, Santos on 08:42 - Nov 6 with 2481 views | Hunterhoop | In all seriousness, what I can’t get over is the data analysis we did on these 3 itself. The data says they’re worth signing (presumably). But why? Did we analyse their work rate and physicality? For a central midfield, did we look at number of tacked/duels won? For a forward did we look at number of duels won, number of sprints in a game, number of headers won, etc. The answer must be “yes”, surely? But did we down weight them in our assessment. I just can’t my head around how these 3 could have appeared good on the stats unless our own criteria were flawed or our weighted assessment was flawed. With Madsen and Celar, we’re not looking at players who are busting a gut and it’s just not coming off (like Heidar Helguson for his first few month). They aren’t putting it about at all. They don’t want physical contact if it can be avoided. This is the Championship. Our methodology re. Data Analysis must be flawed in some way.
Madsen, Celar, Santos on 08:44 - Nov 6 with 2462 views | slmrstid | What seems quite clear to me is how weak most top-flight leagues in Europe now are in this money dominated era where the most money and best talent has flooded into a handful of European leagues. These guys have played top flight football in the countries they've been signed from, and even in European competition, yet are showing themselves to be badly out of their depth in the Championship. Ignoring our fixture congestion aside, I think you could put a good Championship side (ie not us) into most European leagues and find man for man they'd be one of, if not the, best team in it.
Madsen, Celar, Santos on 09:37 - Nov 6 with 2340 views | Gloucs_R | Madsen must be the only 6'4 midfielder I have seen who has zero presence. Nothing. Doesnt get stuck in, doesnt put it about, isnt dominant in the air. So disappointing. Celar, would love t o see his distance covered stats v Frey and most other Championship strikers. Even when the balls been in the box, he still isnt clinical. Santos - one of the worst displays I have ever seen by a full back at Rangers. Watch him for their second goal. Embarrassing. Before anyone mentions he's a right back, he was useless there too and got skinned most weeks. Had a one game cameo but thats it. Looks league 2 standard. Marti needs to take some stick too. Tactically we looked inept and all over the shop with no game plan. Whoever though going into the season with 2 strikers needs their head examining. Especially when both were unknown quantities.

Madsen, Celar, Santos on 09:53 - Nov 6 with 2270 views | actonman | Madsen is infuriating beyond belief ! The worse part is I actually think there is a footballer in there somewhere ? He doesn’t demand the ball , doesn’t show for the ball , he doesn’t run with the ball , he doesn’t close players down , he doesn’t tackle I mean how the fcuk does a professional football club appoint such a player ? He’s a fcking ghost ! At one point last night he passed the ball to someone (a feat in itself) just inside our half then ran the opposite direction towards boros box then what seemed like 5 mins later turned round and wondered why we still had the ball under pressure in the same place ? Nicky son incase your reading this , the ball was still in our half cos there was no bstard midfield player to pass to as you had fcked off out of there ! A traffic cone would be an upgrade on this bloke. As for celar , well as has been noticed by everyone bar marti, could have gone off and nobody would have noticed as he offers absolutely nothing , doesn’t win balls , doesn’t drag players out , doesn’t win fouls or hold the ball up , never in the right place ! In fact I fear he may actually get the ball at some point in a one on one situation as I know he will fcuk it up anyway Leeds on Saturday and I wouldn’t even put these 2 on the coach

Absolutely spot on. Maybe the data analysis would work for a European second division side but physicality is a big advantage in the English game. But also we are very poor in the basics: how many passes to our attacking players went behind them for instance yesterday? If you're a professional footballer you should be able to make runs, pass the ball reasonably accurately and trap the ball without making two extra touches every time. These are just the bare minimum. We are also seemingly incapable of putting a decent FK or corner in. Surely again something you can practise?

Nail on head. Been thinking the same myself about European leagues...even Celtic and Rangers can beat some of them😉 [Post edited 6 Nov 11:49]
