According to the May 2021 audited accounts we spent £632,673 on improvements to plant and motor vehicles.
I’d assume that figure includes the ‘improvements’ you’re quoting in that Tweet which were done in Summer 2020 so in the early part of the financial year.
That’s some cash commitment given the club also lost £1,218,558 in that particular financial year from trading.

I am really pished off now.
If you have a travel insurance policy that might cover some of your costs relating to the postponement.
i doubt that the ten year guarantee even "with a supplier that has a fantastic reputation" will cover anything.
It didn't look like it was draining at all at the Pearl Street end in the second half given the way Solihull kept booting it into the corner and depending on rainfall it would be interesting to see if there is a risk to the Wealdstone game.

I just have to stomach it .........its been dry all day and tells us how bad the pitch is. I agree it look waterlogged on Saturday. The expensive drainage is clearly blocked (again). Hornets are due to play on the pitch on Sunday and have had their Law Cup game postponed earlier this month too. I doubt Wealdstone will be on.
It might be my home town club, and I am fecking stupid keep coming down to watch us, but it is testing my patience now. Its not as though we go home happy is it?

Im not sure you can compare compensation for a travel insurance claim to a Guarantee on a drainage system worth hundreds of thousands of pounds. I know I'd want some answers from the company involved - certainly if its still waterlogged after 2 days of mostly dry weather?
Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
There are times when you wonder if there isnt some sort of curse on this Club. It seems like we couldnt get a lucky break if we ate all the lucky white heather on Earth. Clearly there is a major problem with the drains. I thought they had put in new drains along the mainstand and across the Sandy last time there was a major overhaul .... have they been cleared since? The whole place feels like it is becoming more Micky Mouse by the day, as noted up-thread, this is the wettest town in the UK (with a population of over 50,000), you might think asking a drain company to pop in and rod the drains once a year would be on a to-do list somewhere, along with checking the Tannoy is working, the seats have been cleaned and that the guttering on the main stand is fit for purpose....or was that the job of someone who has left and not been replaced?

Starting to think there could be FUD to use an investment term with regards to us finishing the season.
I don't blame you for thinking that, James
There's an air of drift and apathy around the COA, and it's not coming from the fans but by hell, it's being picked up by them
This pitch business is almost like the last straw. I'm not sure if the planned share purchase organised by the Trust will go ahead (no news yet) and even if it'd be in anyone's interests if it did. It's really that bad...

I don't think Hornets are at home until 3rd March. They are away in the Challenge Cup next weekend.
That will help the pitch and the chances of the Wealdstone game.
It's been clear that the drainage doesn't work and the rain fell during the game on Saturday.
Had it been that wet at the Pearl Street end an hour or two before kick off would the ref have started?

1) what is the issue with the pitch now? 2) over the last three and a half seasons were any previous issues identified and how were they resolved? 3) what plans are in place to alleviate problems for the last couple of months of the season?
There is no reason why the club cannot answer these and other possible questions in a comprehensive update as soon as possible, which I’m sure they will do so.

Is it the board fear being litigated and can't afford the necessary legal and technical advice into whether they would be justified for blaming external companies for the problems.

Unless new and significant investment is found (which doesn't want to destroy the club), where we go is Administration
Not sure what the regs are in the NL in terms of a points penalty being applied during the current season (which could put us right in the middle of a relegation battle) or the following season
The current board (mainly SG) can't continue with bale-outs (the end of January, when i asked at the AGM)

Anyone seen the state of Bradfords pitch tonight might put things in perspective They have a bigger fan base = money and it’s still a shite pitch. So maybe, just maybe, our groundstaff are doing a decent job

Errm. Well spotted Miss Marple. Bet you hate losing at Cluedo. Just saying it just might put what our groundstaff have to deal with working with a lot less money in to some sort of context

They don't have as much money as you think. They pay a kings ransom to rent the stadium. There is little money for improvements according to a bradford fan I know.

No-one's blaming our groundstaff. They're almost certainly doing the best they're capable of within the limitations of our circumstances
