First half thoughts. Yes to penalty for QPR, yes to penalty for Reading, no to red card for Carroll.

Where's Chair been since the first 15 minutes of the game?!

Hutchinson should have walked as well, the yellow would have been his second if we'd have had the penalty.

Chair was running the game so Reading have reacted by doubling up on him and not giving much space in front of their area. Chair’s having to come deeper. We need the full backs to take advantage as of the extra space out wide as Kakay has done once already.

Forget the ref, much like Sheff U we've been fine tonight. Unlike Sheff U, we're much better than the opposition. Bring on the second half and lets see this lot off a bit more comfortably.

Refs.

Awful.

All of them without exception.

Handball obvious. Carroll red card certainty.

Reading time wasting since the 5th minute with Joe the Chief Houserist.

If we get ahead, this might be a good game. If we don't or God forbid that pony tailed donkey puts them ahead this will be a long, long, depressing evening.

Come on Rangers, let's do this!

Can we go out yet?

Seny's swapped teams according to the BBC:

"Tyler Roberts brought a fine save out of Seny Dieng in the Reading goal as the hosts looked for the opener."

I really hate this lot, what a joke of a club.

Also, the Reading coach having a pop at Roberts after his circus freak show of a striker wiped him out.

I REALLY hope we beat this shower in the 2nd half.

we were fabulous first 20, Chair was everywhere.. pulling all the strings. And should have had a stone wall penalty and would have been interesting to see how the game went... but then the first time they got in our box they got a penalty.. which I have watched a number of times and can't make my mind up about..
Though Carol was a bit lucky that he didn't get a red and didn't injure the player..
was concerned about Laird going off, but Kakay came in and set up the goal..
this is really for the taking, hopefully we go out and finish the job 2nd half..

Come on you R's

Not so much a thick yellow for me as a strong shout for a red - Carroll, who was still fired up after some shenangans with Jojo at their corner just below, was almost as lucky to stay on the pitch as Hutchinson was not to concede the pen - it was malicious, studs-up, and clearly petulant. No idea what Beale appeared to find so funny about it on the bench. On the basis of those two incidents alone, the ref, quite simply, is incompetent, bent or both, and another shameful advertisement for this level of football.

That said, a lovely goal aside that really rammed my words down my throat about the limitations of Ossie and the failings of Dykes, we've absolutely mullered them for possession (75% according to the BBC stats) but hardly laid a glove on them in the final third, and we all know Lummers is seriously substandard. It really highlights what we know already about what a massive loss Willock is when he's not twinkling his toes, and, for me, Roberts continues to flatter to deceive. Chair has done what we can, but has msotly been too deep and over-worked. Meanwhile, Laird's hopefully precautionary withdrawal isn't much less worrying than Chrissy's absence.

With the way the first half is going, I'd probably take the draw right now, though it would take some gloss off the week, as MB intimated. (If the balance of play carries on like this, and they nicked a winner, it wouldn't be so much smash and grab as floodlight robbery.)

The only positive is the this guy will never be in charge of a match again. Piss poor doesn’t come near it.

Yeah. We need a stretch of possession to organise ourselves

Where has our dominance of possession gone in the second half?

We want our Rangers back.......

Jojo' looks tired. And Chair doesn't have the space he had in the first half. We're losing our midfield dominance

Tim, Johansen and Roberts are having mares. Reading are piss poor and we can’t get a foothold.

Good save from Lumley off Roberts

Brilliant pass from Dykes frees Chair, Lumley saves. Corner

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

What a ball from Chair... but Roberts doesn't get enough power on the header.

Chair on the break now and credit Lumley with a good save.
