For me it’s the best since Trevor because of the pure technique no fluke pure “I’m gonna hit the target” attitude lol . In fact would be good if Clive could write a piece on this very subject.
This. And the above and many, many more besides. It was a very good goal. It was a very IMPORTANT goal, but best since Trevor Sinclair? - not even close. One of the criteria when judging the quality of a goal, is the quality of the opposition and while Derby played quite well overall, their defending for both goals was abysmal. Nice thread tho!
This one gets forgotten about because we were getting battered and it was a shite team about to get relegated, but what a goal. If it had mattered surely one of the all-time greats
A couple of Richard Langley ones too. There was one away at Portsmouth, last game of the season. Also one at the Loft End where he took a corner over by P Block, it came back out to him and he volleyed it in from distance. That was possibly against Blackpool?

Similar sort of strike was the Ngbakoto freekick v Birmingham. I seem to remember quite a few people saying the goalie should have done better but I dunno it's a brilliant goal. Always stuck in my head for some reason. Probably one of our best goals from a standing freekick at least.
