It’s the do or die, maybe it isn’t game for Derby County who need to win this one, or not lose, it depends on Sheffield Wednesday who need to do the same. Either way it’s an either way situation based on two teams, one which is led by Darren Moore and the other is led by Wayne Rooney who recently changed his name to Derby County. Or it could have been the other way round, anyway both are shit. When I say both I mean the two, that’s of them, at least.
It’s the last home game of the season in the EFL for Swansea City except the one that’s coming after this one in the play offs.

Another typical match under Cooper. We were truly appalling in all areas except defence and manage to come away with the win through scoring our only two shots on goal all match.
Winning will no doubt relieve much of the criticism he deserves. They are one of, if not the worst teams in the league and they were the much, much better side and looked far more coordinated in their play than us.
Quite how their player didn't receive a straight red, let alone a second yellow for that tackle is worthy of seeing that referee demoted for a number of weeks. I can't recall a decision worse than that at The Liberty in a very long time, and my recollection of the Middlesbrough game a few weeks ago where the referee ensured we took 3 points thanks to his numerous bewildering decisions is fine.

I’m so glad we won, plus the added joy of seeing jughead really sweat. But boy It was crap. Another ****house win. If we are to go up as one of the worst sides ever, that’s the way it will happen.

Oh and ps, after somehow winning that, in that way, again, I’m starting to really think it might happen.

See thats why I don't like responding to you.
1. You don't read what someone says (I say "what's missing is the movement", you respond "No. Passing it back is not what we have been doing without a reason.") You didn't read what was written again.
2. If someone is not as negative as you and close to slitting wrists then we must love what we're watching.
Not worth responding really.
But I don't need to have my posts marked by you or anyone.I can reply as I want.We all can.
It' s all about taking from a post what you want and then replying as you see fir.
It is not a comprehension test.
I thought we could exchange post ok ,so another chum bites the dust then.

Weird innit Mike. We win and should be happy but we both see the reality of it all.
Brentford are the team.
Sadly I fear they will get up to the Prem
They have good foundations though and have a real business plan.

It’s really strange Mon, we are very poor to watch & seemingly have little or no strategy in how to win the game however we - despite Woodman - have a solid defence & a hugely impressive resilience that seems to keep us trying & has consistently returned points above & beyond what our performance has warranted.

Yet Woodman gets the plaudits. His defenders have been outtanding in the main.Young Cabango has had pelters which shows how dumb some are. He is an outstanding player as is Woody, but it a different way.

Almost certainly playing Bournemouth in the semi final.
I would rather Barnsley in the semis, Brentford in the final route, but if it is to be Bournemouth in the semis than so be it, I think Barnsley have beaten Brentford a few times over the last two seasons.
Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

Thought Cabango was outstanding again today.
That one block he made in the first half caught the eye but came about because he'd dropped at least 5 yards deeper than the rest of the defence and opened that space for them. Bit of Ashley Williams about him, just enough mistakes to allow for some eye-catching, last ditch defensive work.
Would love to see him and Brandon play together again (for more than a minute) in the next game.

Has anybody told our players that the bloke dressed in orange is their goalkeeper and the idea of the game is to shoot the ball past him into their goal. If they didn’t spend so much time passing sideways and backwards they might just occasionally get a chance to attempt a shot on goal. Who knows, we could even score a goal.
but isnt that the experts on here want possesion football...it was raljed about after Cooper switcged away from the 5 atvthe back and we plaued lots of sideways passes acriss the back 4....9miles was purring over it

It's going to be very difficult for us to progress whichever team we play, all we can do is cross our fingers and hope for the breaks.

One of the first things Michael Laudrup said when he took over here was that possession is all well and good, but you have to do something with it.
Passing it sideways and backwards between the midfield and defence before eventually knocking it into a channel is not "possession" football. Moving the ball quickly between players finding space, going backwards if needs be but preferably forwards is possession football.
Under Cooper we have almost entirely done the former. Incidences of the latter have been very few and far between.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Why do people take such entrenched positions instead of watching what’s in front of them? We’ve got the points which is absolutely grand. The way we’ve got them has largely been horrendous to watch. Therefore all the pleasure is after the match. That is better for me than the yuck feeling that clings after a defeat, but why on earth pretend there is any real pleasure in watching the dreadful football.
It’s not about Cooper love or Cooper hate for me, For 90% of matches we look much better on flash score than the pitch. That is utterly visible to anyone that watches.

This goal epitomises your point and is, in my opinion, the greatest goal Swansea City have scored in my lifetime.
The amount of world class coaching it must have taken to get some of these players so comfortable, so calm and so intelligent in and out of possession is truly astounding and highlights why Brendan Rodgers is one of the best managers in world football.
We couldn’t do it now though. You need world class players like Mark Gower, Leroy Lita, Garry Monk, Neil Tailor, Jazz Richards or Steven Caulker. Oh, and Wayne Routledge.
Everyone knows all we have is a pile of garbage that should be in league two so they simply have to be trained by a managerial genius to leather the bejesus out of it and stand still. Then pray that the opposition miss and we score two from two shots. That’s what gets us the points and that’s all that matters. It’ll always work too. There is definitely no other way to play because the team is crap. Maybe you’ve heard?
